The battery is a massive issue. I live going from charger to charger. My plan is to do a factory reset on the phone, get a new battery installed and just start from scratch. Should be able to get a bit more life out of it. Battery health on mine is at 74%.

Not that the apples fans care but I'll be picking up a Note 9 net month. I've carried a Note 5 for 3 years now, still works like a champ, it's just time for a new phone.

Since we're on the topic, what's a reliable way of selling a used phone? I think Apple would give me $100 for my 6s, but trying to see what other options there are.

Both my wife and I are due for new phones, both have the 7. I like the size of the XR but the features of the SX. I think the SXMax is gonna be to big. Gonna have to see them in person and make a decision.

Good decision. My X feels a little too small after my previous 7+.

The lineup is bullshit. No small phones.

IS IT SO HARD TO MAKE A SMALL PHONE? I guarantee if Steve Jobs were alive this shit wouldn't be going on.

Apple should take the 4S and do an X updated to it. I guarantee that will sell like hot cakes. Perfect size phone, IMHO and Steve was right.

I got y'all beat. I'm still using my 5S on 7.1.2. lol I was holding out for the SE because of rumors in March and June about a new one similar in style to the X. So, as a precaution, I bought a SE last Sunday just in case Apple decided to stop selling them. Thank god I did as it's discontinued. Luckily, the one they gave me was made middle August so good chance it had 11.4.1, which it does. I never update my OS. I finally opened it and am testing the battery in airplane mode. Hopefully that will be fine. My 5S lasted 21 days in airplane mode. 4S was 15 days.

After my Iphone 7 128gb fell into the sink a few months ago it started corroding the charging contacts and I started having anxiety at night thinking my phone will be dead in the morning.

Last month found a great deal on a iphone x 256 gb with about £100 back on quickco so i took the plunge. I did question opening the box and thinking if i should wait for the new phone. Only thing that would have made me gutted is if they got rid of the notch which they didn't so i'm happy with my spur of the moment decision

upgrading though I have my doubts, i don't feel like dropping $1k on a phone (Xs), and the Xr is a larger phone even though it is cheaper; i dont like big phones

basically at this point i dont think i'll upgrade, and if i do i'll have to suck up the price tag and get the "smaller" and better Xs...
I went from a 6s to the X. I too like smaller phones and will always miss my IP4. I have to say though, the X with its screen pushed out to the edges of the phone has a significantly larger display area than the 6s my wife still has, though the outer dimensions/form factor are nearly identical. For $749 for the X, I think that's a good next step for anyone with an ailing, ageing, 6 or 7.

I try to refresh my phones on a 2 year cycle. The new stuff comes out when I'm mid-way through the cycle. I wait a year and pick it up on discount. So my next phone will likely be one of the new ones that was released this week, but one year from now when they are on fire sale.

They can't get rid of that notch. Best case they make it a full thin banner (galaxy S9 style).

Yep, if it still works, keep it.

I have an 8. It was great the first month, and now I'm having some glitches.

Have an iPhone X. Like the phone, the OLED screen is great and the lack of home button is super clean. Well worth it over the other iphones.

Will sit out the Xs though. Not enough changes to justify the additional cost.

iOS 12 should have some stability and performance updates for the phones. Should be better after that.

Went ahead and put iOS 12 GM on my X, the wife’s SE, and the MIL’s 8. The increased performance is definitely noticeable!
