I think this will just cause more stupid police "crack downs" on "fixed up" cars. More tinted window tickets, more exhaust tickets, and more lowering tickets (do they still even give those)? I remember them coming over to the car with a ruler, those bastards.

grrr...i still drive a e30 (iam waiting for my e92), you are rite the cool e30 is fun to drift in and to thrash around in, heck i do it all the time. i could drift most turns (well not recommended but this is what i do: aproch the corner you want to drift (3rd or 4th) then b4 ur about to turn downshift into second and hit the gas (not to hard just enough to break the rearend loose), then comes the tricky part the countersteer. what i do is let the stearing wheel slide in my hand(to center the front wheels), then i turn the wheel alittle more to the way the car is sliding (ie:if the car is sliding to the right i turn the wheel to the rite) then as the car starts to streighten out i straighten out the stearing wheel also. do not attempt on the streets for ur first time, try in some open parking lot. tip: try not to overcounterstear this causes the tail end of the car to swing that way faster and causes ur car to fishtail or spin out) i wonder, why dont they make a movie with germen cars instead of rice rockets ? now that would be a good movie to watch! sorta like the bmw fims they had b4 but longer with tricked out euro cars(not with the ultra expensive ones, the ones we could afford)! yah the kids these days are lookin at japanese cars and comparing the numbers from mags and stuff (i should know i used to do that back in highschool). but now i know diffrently now. |

As an employee of universal this is what i know. 1. They actually used Initial D as their reference, so in other words it is indeed intial D just w/ unknown american actors (including bow wow). 2. As the story "takes place" in Japan. Much (and i mean much) of the scenes were actually shot out in the streets of LA. All they did was change some street signs add a little Japanese and boom there you go. Hollywood's version of Japan. Lame i know. 3. To top all that off. a good 90% of the racing scenes (even some city scenes) are all CG. Overall, the trailer looks better than some of the clips i saw.
