come on. stop the BS. the M6 may not sound or feel like it's fast. but it's for sure faster than a regular 3. a tuned 335 may be neck to neck with a M3, but claim to beat the M6?

lol to be honest i wasn't just in the m6 today i was in a v8 vantage a zo6 a ford gt and a Porsche turbo. And v8 vantage FELT faster and sounded insane whether its really faster i don't know but dam was it impressive . Ford gt that was just insane, z06 pulls like a freight train

SHEESH FOR the e90 forum many of you seem to doubt its tuning abilities . I know an m6 would win top end hands down, but i think alot of you aren't thinking logically here. A 385 hp 335i , twin turbo with instantaneous response would give an m6 a run for its money no matter what anyone says.

That's just it, the response of the turbo isn't immediate. Do to the 29.2+program, turbo lag is more prominent then ever. That was a huge turn off for me to the N54 engine.

^^^ Pretty sure a JB3 + intake + exhaust + whatever is not gonna even begin to hang with those 2 above 100mph.

Don't get me wrong, not down playing JB3-only or V3-only 335i's. They are damn fast and can hang with or beat almost any car out there under 500 horses, particularly up to 100 or 120mph:

Yes i did make it a point to tell to tell you my father was a sales manager because if he wasn't there would be no way in hell i would have been able to have been in any of those cars . But its all good .

No offense, but you need to get your head out of the E92's ass and look at real world driving figures....my friend just sold his E46 M3 and bought the M6...tuned 335i with all the goodies MAY stay with it for a bit, but once you're in the double digits....by by 335i...and again, this is stock M6 vs. highly modded 335i.

the M6 has the same engine as the M5....

*sigh* let me put it into perspective for you...

are you telling me that your "modded 335i" would be the same distance away as this m6?

Funny thread......

The M5 / M6 and even the M3 doesn't "feel" that fast but they are. The V10 only has 385 foot pounds of torque but it is all in the high end.

The best way to describe the acceleration is a gentle push in the gut that keeps you in your seat all the way up...

My 335i sometimes "feels" faster than my M6 because of the rush of torque but the V10 sustains torque / revs for longer.

BTW, the V10 is scary fast above 100 mph, and is still pulling like a mad freight train at 150 mph.
