Those are all good.
One of my favorite older skits was from the Carol Burnett show with Harvey Korman and Tim Conway. As for a current comedian, I'm partial to Jimmy Carr, a British comedian. |

Oh wait, how the hell did I forget Carol Burnett?! When I was a little kid, I used to watch the Carol Burnett show all the time and there was nothing funnier. Just too many skits that were classic with the likes of Tim Conway, Harvey Korman, etc. One of the more memorable characters for me was Burnett playing "Eunice" and her fights with "Mama".

I used to listen to Cosby on vinyl - get off my lawn!!!
Since MeTV only shows MASH as comedy, I currently watch mostly Chapelle. The first couple of years of SNL, when I was actually watching it live, was some funny shit. "Oh, no!!!" "I'm Gumby, dammit" "Chee-burger, chee-burger, chee-berger No coke, Pepsi" |

See my avatar (Carlin). Also Lenny Bruce (crucified by the kind of people Carlin lampooned). They defined a comedy style still in vogue. Both Carlin and Bruce cursed, but for social purpose, not like some modern jokesters for easy laughs.

I've seen both Bill Burr and Jerry Seinfeld live.. Bill Burr was great, the particular show I saw was probably not the funniest set I've seen from him but still great.. Seinfeld was so damn funny my face hurt for a day after the show I was laughing so hard. Would definitely see either one of them again live if I have the chance.

That was one of my all time favorites. He's so good at acting those out and you can just visualize the exact scenario he's portraying. The subtle quips he uses like when he's playing catch with his son.

Doug Stanhope, he is not everyone's cup of tea because he gets pretty raw. Hysterical though...

All of this "get off my lawn" business and I've yet to see one vote for Benny Hill.
I'm a fan of Tool (the band)....so I have to throw Bill Hicks out there. |
