I was thinking the same exact thing. A buffet at a wedding? WTF is that?

BTW, I was just the best man at my brother's wedding a month ago and he went through the same thing over who to invite and where to draw the line when you are having a small affair. Sometimes it really does just come down to limited space, and you can only invite so many people. I wouldn't even worry about it, and next time she asks you for a ride home just drop her off in the middle of no where.

Next time when she ask for a ride home, or even if you are kind enough again to offer her a ride; say...Shit I forget; there is limited space in my car

This is blasphemy.

Open bar + family and friends = good time

Unless its some distant relative or a coworker with a buffet wedding.

Honestly, I never wanted to attend her wedding. I actually hate attending weddings. The lady in the avatar is White and lady getting married is Fillipino.

Stuff like that happens, some people are just dicks and be rude for their own reason. And she lost your respect so I guess you don't have to worry about her that much or something :S.

I'm a bit confused. Is the OP male or female?

I don't know of too many men that actually WANT to go to weddings and even fewer you care at all about if they are invited to a wedding. I have gone to maybe 3-4 weddings in the last 7 years and that was mainly because they were weddings of people that were actually part of my own wedding (Bridesmaids or Groomsmen).

My advice is GET OVER IT. But, I did like that line about "limited space" the next time that person needs a ride.

I would never imagine that she would not invite me as she invited almost everyone at my workplace. I never even asked if she was going to invite me because I knew she will as I've been always been polite to her and everyone else. I've even driven her home before as she doesn't have a car because it would be impolite.

I just find it hard that this lady (who happens to be Filipino) decided to invite people who she hardly knows to her wedding - people from other departments who never even attended the wedding luncheon potluck.

Today, I asked her why she didn't invite me as someone was asking about her wedding as I had nothing else to talk about. Her answer was there was "limited space." What a stupid and vague answer huh? It just doesn't make sense when a senior worker like myself never gets invited when a bunch of newbies and other dorks from another departments gets invited. My friends at my workplace got invited including my boss and when I asked them that I didn't get invited, they said... "limited space", another one said "only a few are attending", one coworker said "sorry", short and vague answers....

Ironically, she invited people who weighed a lot more than me which made no sense?!? I was told that it was a buffet style dinner at the wedding. She even invited a 700lb lady from another department which is totally wacked!!!

Anyone here had a similar experience?
If you are as annoying in real life as you are here I'm not surprised she didn't invite you.

Seriously, is the OP male or female? Why would you care if you got invited or not. There are probably more fun things to do that go to a wedding with a lot of folks that you don't know.

he obviously f-ed up over this. Unless he was going to ruin the wedding and cause a scene it shows how the coworker lacks class. he has to see her every day now. wtf? show up anyway and call her out... get it on videotape and post it here unless you really need your job but just be a man...

I just thought it was rude for her not to invite me. I attended a wedding lucheon, contributed to a gift for her and I brought food for the event. About half of the people invited to her wedding didn't even attend the pre-wedding lucheon and they didn't contributed to the gift. Yes, rude because almost everyone at my workplace says I'm a nice guy from all the departments. You just wonder? She would invite a seriously overweight 700lb lady from another department whom she doesn't really know and she would not invite me. She also invited a former coworker who retired in my department whom she doesn't know too well too! My supervisor and manager was invited and it just makes me look like an outcast for not attending the wedding. What a bunch of snobs huh?

BTW, I'm the guy who always bring in food to work like cake, cookies, freshly picked fruits, gourmet pizzas, and other baked goods. I never ever complain while everyone else shouts, swears, acts drunk at the workplace. I think they just don't like the nice guy attitude at work. Very sad and immature for them. FYI - most of my coworkers in my department live in the trailer trash part of town; however, they don't live in a trailer park.
