It's not the act itself but the manner in which he went about it. That's my issue. He violated sacred codes here lol
Exactly, told my wife he broke the man code of a handshake. I have 0 respect for him now. I was raised in the country and to me a handshake is better than a contract.
So you know what needs to be done and it sounds like you're a man of reason and sensibility. I have faith you'll make it sting for him.

Good luck!! Keep me posted lol

Well gee-whiz, a man of reason and sensibility would just let it go. I'll do my best and without going scorched earth on everyone else. I mean if you can't trust a handshake what can you trust?

An example of overestimation: "Dr Schultz refusing to shake Candie's hand scene (Django Unchained)".

Once I shook a scumbag's hand instead of beating him down. It has just occurred I did the thing I hadn't really understood before!

Good to vent it out here. Take the edge off. Pricks like that come and go and then they get pumped up by some pseudo-power trip as 'HOA enforcer'

Sucks he stole your peace. I just hope you don't stoop too low to get it back. Over time this to shall pass.

I gotta say you're right. I'm actually feeling much better after venting on here. It's just I do hard work and for someone to come along and intentionally try to make it harder for me honestly sucks. There is absolutely no way I would ever live in an HOA. Like I've said before I work for some and they put the residents through way too much. It's always funny when I have to listen to the boards but also the home owners. They all hate each other.

What a prick. Fact is, there are a lot of pricks in the world. Don't give this clown another thought. Instead, do something extra nice for a stranger instead, like pay for the meal of the car behind you at the fast food drive-through.

I worked in an HOA that comprised of multi million dollar homes owned by doctors, athletes, and a few billionaires during my college days, the petty complaining is endless.Mainly homeowners calling for “suspicious “ person that always turned out to be the neighbors pool guy or gardener or housekeeper. YOLO. Do ittttttttttt, fvck Karen’s sh1t up

Chances are, he saw the cop approach you after making the call 'cause Ken's are voyeurs at heart. Chances are, you two will cross paths again. I would shame him to his face. 'Seems you're the only real man around here. After we spoke and shook hands after the parking and unloading misunderstanding, someone cowardly called the cops on me. Not knowing my background or history, it upset me considering I almost lost my wife (if that was in fact the severity of her accident) because she choose to do the right and legal thing and park across the street. Glad a handshake means something to some people, 'cause I'm sure they saw us shaking hands.' Him being all high and mighty will realize that you know and it will eat away at his sanctimonious ego.... Or you can send him glitter bombs two or four months apart and know that the honorable balance in nature has been restored! Keep us posted

Reading the first post, this is probably going to be a waste of effort. But how about going up there, talk to him, and explain to him what an idiot he is? Least you could do is try. Best effect will be if he realises this, and won't do anything like this again.

Like i said, probably a waste of time, and if so: revenge can be sweet! I'd probably let it go but in case of revenge I would go for an innocent kinda joke-thing. Too bad you can't see his face when you do, cause that's likely going to be the best part.

Your a contractor the worst thing you want is pissing match, think of him writing bogus reviews or who know what on your webpage or destroying word of mouth business.

It was a dick move, let karma take care of him.

I'd just park on the other side and cause a traffic jam when ever you go there. You'll be following the rules, and you'll be causing a mess for people who live there. It can then be blamed on him as "you are following the rules" because jeerkoff guy called the cops on you last time.

I'm like you and would want to so scorched earth on the place and report every violation I saw. But I'd let it go.

I have no idea what you mean by writing that I am the guy that calls. The rest of your post reinforces my conclusions.

I can't believe you would seriously consider f'ing up that may innocent homeowners out of a misplaced sense of vengeance. Isn't this just causing somebody harm as a way to manipulate them into disliking your 'enemy'? Jerk caller is to blame for the police hassles, or if your job takes longer; you are to blame if you act like a dick to all his neighbors.

Setting fire to the neighborhood may exact revenge on the guy but alienate everyone else against you, I'd concentrate on the one guy and don't be shy about being recognized. Be a man, hold his scalp in the air and own it.

In California, what you did would be against the vehicle code.

"22500.1.

In addition to Section 22500, no person shall stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a peace officer or official traffic control device along the edge of any highway, at any curb, or in any location in a publicly or privately owned or operated off-street parking facility, designated as a fire lane by the fire department or fire district with jurisdiction over the area in which the place is located."

Maybe your state's code is more lenient.

Show us a photo of the location you parked. Address would even be better.

Nah nah nah. Plausible deniability. We don't need explicit details. Let the man extract the much deserved revenge, no need to return to the scene if the crime and implicate himself further.

To answer your question, i believe revenge can be sweet if it’s properly directed and holds people accountable for the shitty things that they do.

However, i can’t believe I’m reading all this talk about dragging an entire community who’s done nothing to you into this mess. Even the HOA hasn’t done you wrong - it’s one individual who dealt with you in a two-faced manner. If karma sucks, just imagine the karma you’d get from fucking with all these people…

I do note that you’re kind of backing away from that plan - that’s a good thing. But it’s somewhat horrifying to read that thought process. And a couple of responses even seem to be egging you on!

Nobody is encouraging the entire neighborhood. You can clearly see the op himself stated multiple times he doesn't and won't impact innocents.

Bloodshed on the one individual is a sacrifice that is acceptable.
