A family friend lives at Paragon. I dunno, I prefer Ipark or towerpalace (where I live) over Paragon, though the demographic at paragon is much younger. And no, 1 br condos don't cost 5Million (80 uk won). Go to Naver and check out the latest real estate listings...they're no where near there, especially in this housing slump (one place that's not terribly affected is Hyundai APt in Apkujungdong, where my wife's famiyl lives).
hehe, but nice car collection nonetheless. I have photos from our garage at towerpalace somewhere. I wish I were that rich. ps. a bmw 750 costs 180 million won, which is the equivelant to 135K USD, depending on the exchange rate, which has been pretty horrible as of late. |

I don't think that is accurate. The majority in the world are poor, but not that poor!

Yeah, I miss those days of 1>1000 exchange rates. I get interest/dividend payments in fixed amounts of krW each month and I saw it drop 33% at one point from the horrible exrt. I think apkujungdong is one of the few places in Seoul that haven't seen much of a depreciation in land value, especially for the center Shin Hyundai apts. IPark in Samsungdong and Towerpalace in Dogokdong have been killed by the soft real estate market, especially after idiot president Noh hiked real estate taxes to astronomical amounts. But still, a multiple bedroom apt in Gangnam of iPark or TP caliber will still garner anywhere from 2-10MM usd. Do you live in Korea? Recently visit? |
