Besides, if $30k is the target, you're only $3k away with the EVO X and that's before the inevitable rebates/discounts, once the newness wears off...
I don't race, and nobody knows the final price yet.

What? They have been sold in Denver for several weeks now. Go see them at Quality Mitsubishi on S. Broadway (and others) right now if you want...

I was referring to your statement here:

You must be mistaken if you are saying 2009 Lancer Ralliarts have been sold for weeks. The website for the above has no inventory of them, only the NA models and Evos.

futhermore...

DETROIT — The turbocharged 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart — Evo Lite to some — made its much-anticipated global debut on Sunday at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show. When it arrives in showrooms in the summer, it is expected to carry a price tag around $25,000 and be positioned squarely between the Lancer and Lancer Evo X models.

No, I just meant that the EVO X's are already for sale and the price is around $33k. Nixon originally said he was looking for a car for under $30k and my only point was that an EVO X is not much more than that (and has some undeniable advantages over the Ralliart).

You should drive on the track. It's a blast! Unfortunately, the Denver track is closed, but there is a new one being built East of town shortly. I go to the Pueblo track often - let me know if you want to come along sometime

Wow so people who buy Evo X's stock and don't tune them are getting jipped. They say it make 290hp and 300lb/ft. But it only makes around 240. If you lease it, that sucks for you because you can't tune it or your warranty will cancel.

That 240 is wheel horsepower, not crank.

you'd have to be an idiot to lease an Evo... when we're talking about niche' cars such as an Evo, z06, m3, m5, amg's, etc... people HAVE the money for these cars, so they most often buy them for obvious reasons... this is not your regular old lancer or your everyday 3 series...

I don't even think you can lease an Evo.
