Wagons and Hatcbacks don’t sell well in North America unless they’re on stilts

Please double check your weight data and make sure it's apples to apples. The data I provided is curb weight _without_ driver. The driver adds 75kg. |

Strange Front/ rear legroom has reduced in G45 even with the increase in length!

Would be helpful if Mnfrs had one consistent global standard for vehicle weight as it becomes difficult to tease out what parameters are actually being included by the different firms to allow true 'apples-apples' view, which was the point of my previous thread. Thanks for your future model updates. Only 2-3mm diff which is insignificant. Suspect the added cargo volume is helped by the increased length. |

TBH, it is rather smart. SUVs don't drive well, and the customers don't typically care about driving, otherwise they would not drive an SUV.
So if they have a good chassis that works in the practical sense and that continues to exceed saftey standards, why not just reskin it and update the tech and aesthetics? What could they really do to improve a car that is more or less a grocery getter? I'd stretch the lifespan as long as possible, if it continues to sell. |

[QUOTE=ASAP;30978357]what?
There will be no X3 outside of an X3M that has remotely close to 400 hp or above... I’m a little confused.. the current M40i has 380+ horsepower, call me crazy but i think that falls into “remotely close to 400” territory. I don’t think it will get much more but it’s already underrated as it is.

I think It’s confusing for people like us who know what the stuff has meant but the general public they have no idea what it means anyways other than the trim (higher number equal better) that’s all people are going to see but I think it’s weird and confusing and kind of unnecessary what are they gonna do raise the number every single time are we gonna get to M100 at some point it just seems like they’re painting themselves into a corner with the numbers

Next X4 won't come out until 2026. Multiple sources have confirmed.

[QUOTE=Romax;30981188]Sure... but they can't for purposes of keeping the hierarchy of models in check... there is no talk of a B58 variant with above 382 HP... at least I haven't seen any.

i dont know any bmw at this point that wouldnt be thought of as heavy... an m3 xdrive is 3900 lbs and the new m5 will weigh more than an f150 crew cab (thats not a joke)... so all thats left is the tall part

Now, saying that they don’t handle AS WELL AS (insert performance vehicle name here), that’s a different argument. Still - I get your point… and completely get the vast amount of target market that’s being catered to here. |
