I’m from the UK. I’ve ordered mine for delivery in November , the dealer gave me £1500 and BMW contributed £1500 on a loyalty scheme , so it could be argued that I’ve secured a 6% discount.

A UK introducer I’ve used in the past is offering 10% via its preferred BMW dealer on the M50, so around £6.6k off a base spec. That’s in addition to any other incentives on the go at the time.

They are impressive discounts but seem too good to be true. Are they gen?

Yes, I’ve used them before. They simply introduce to a UK BMW main dealer, and the transaction is between you and the dealer. They simply negotiate a volume discount.

Thanks for the info. I hope to get 6% off on this side of the pond. I'm looking forward to test drive the new X3.

The cost cutting is evident. And the design team must be hell bent on creating offensive designs...or are on copius amounts of drugs...or both.

Some UK buyers now getting 12% discount, so it’s moving in the right direction, with lower APR PCP expected after the initial honeymoon period, and potential slow sales.

That’s a bit annoying, I’m committed now with delivery expected end Nov.

I suppose I could threaten to cancel the order and try to bounce sales into extra discount but I’m reluctant to do that.

It’s worth a try. I really can’t see there being a lot of demand, although I’m sure the sales guy will make out there is.

Usually they ask for quotes to prove, which is rich, and I usually tell them I’ll show them the sales invoice when I’ve ordered elsewhere.

Obviously it depends on circumstances, but in my experience the local dealer is usually the worst for discount. I don’t usually trade a car (unless best price and discount), so I look out of catchment area for the best deals, and then ask the local if they wish to match. If not, I buy elsewhere.

If you’re buying PCP have a go at getting the guaranteed future value GFV increased as this will also save you money.
