Dont worry, once something happens to it, you will think differently.

i left my car for about 2 weeks in december when i went back to indonesia, borrowed my buddy's garage coz his 525i was in the shop after an accident..told him that he could use my car too if he needs to go out etc.
he's a close friend, was the one who helped me buy my e90 and not a car-abuser...i'm a more aggressive driver than him
only my close friends and family members can drive my car lol

letting people drive your car is a great way to get them to join the "cult" of BMW owners

the girlfriend drives it occasionally without me in it, but that's about it. Generally I don't have a problem letting ppl test drive it (with me) if the occasion comes up, and I don't think that they will try to abuse it.

But yeah, I can feel where a lot of you are coming from. My girlfriend just this week called me up on the phone while she had the car where the first word out of her mouth was "Sorry..." She hadn't actually done anything to the car, but she sure freaked me out, lol!

that's probably true for most people, but i honestly don't know anyone that i've actually hung out with down here that can't drive a stick. maybe one person, but i just never asked him.

You're lucky your close friend is still a close friend after that. That's why I don't like driving anyone's car except my own.

very true. only hassle to me is being waken up too early in the morning to move my car out of the drive-way when my mom has to go to work. cause i dont park it on the street overnight. haha.

i hope that nobody would post a thread that says "i park my car just anywhere", cause i think we are picky about our parking spaces if we have the option.

eh...i guess if had a 325 i wouldnt care also.... no im jus' playin'

but heres a good lesson for you to know:

"Dont put yourself in stupid places"

meaning why put yourself in a situation where it could potentially ruin your friendships over material possesions. or worse. same idea like when i throw a party i store away anything of value. its not like i dont trust my friends but what if something goes missing i dont want to question my friends or friends of friends and what if if it just got misplaced? why put yourself in that position if you can avoid them.

If anyone's going to do anything to my car (good or bad), it's going to be me.

I trust whoever I let drive my car... I just don't trust the other people they have in my car. I just had to move my car just a couple minutes ago. I got in my car and it had a weird smell to it. Then I looked in the back and there was some kind of liquid on my mats and the door panel.

Edit: It was one of my good friends. He spilled whiskey in my car. I'm going to kick his ass! He said he is going to clean it out though... I still might kick his ass.
