didn't watch the whole thing, but based on your guys' comments, I think the scammer should have got away. If it was clearly written that she's selling a picture, then it's the buyer's fault for not reading the product description. But this is BS court TV and not a real trial, just arbitration; so of course viewers will want to see the scammer punished.

I don't think Judge Judy has any impressive degrees relating to laws and such. I remember reading somewhere saying how she's actually not a judge and was just paid alot to film these stupid things.

She didn't get her law degree from any Ivy League school, but it was still a good law school. She knows contract law very well from practicing as a corporate lawyer, then spent quite a bit as prosecuting attorney. I believe she spent 10 years as judge in NY's criminal court.

It was obvious the fat one is a scammer, but if the auction clearly states it's for pictures only, I really feel it's unfair for the scammer to get that type of treatment. Judge Judy didn't even bother looking at the part where it says it's for pictures only. The scammer was about to show her and Judge Judy just told her to shut up and and went ape shit on her.

The part about the weight being like 5 oz. is a very strong point, but I always thought one should still be innocent until proven guilty. It seems like Judge Judy, with her years of experience, was able to tell the scammer is guilty at the first second the scammer stepped in the court.

The scammer was clearly misrpresenting the product. There's really no need to explain because there is nothing to explain. Textbook fraud. One semester of business law is enough for me to recognize fraud. We breifly discussed her show and shows like her in my class. No reasonable person would pay a huge dollar amount for a picture of a product. The dramatics was made for tv, but in a real court I'm sure the scammer would've been berated by the judge just the same.

I meant the show isn't a real courtroom. The people attending the show have to sign a form, agreeing that they will obey w/e verdict she concludes with, but the show isn't a real courtroom.
