Yes, only tools drive hybrids. There are two reasons as to why these tools buy hybrids:
#1 They think they are saving money on gas.
#2 They think they are being 'green' / saving the planet.

Both of which are false.

And I've only heard that girls/gay guys drive the body style of the Jetta you had. The new ones are much much better looking and don't really have a certain sex associated with it.

Well, yes the last gen was pretty girly, but then again there were some decently modded ones too. I suppose the same could be said for this new gen too.

Well I don't see why anyone would buy a hybrid if they don't fall under those two above categories. If you don't fall into either of those categories and buy a hybrid, well then you're even dumber than those who do fall under them and buy hybrids.

Well, thats what I was getting at man. Its gonna take a car tries to break the mold. I honestly believe the CR-Z will be the one to start a new pace. Why? Because it wont drive like a Prius. The S2k also does not look like a pussy car, and IMO looks better than the 370z...and it is quite powerful.

BForbes isn't the only person on here with an s2k, and I think many people with disagree with it looking like a pussy car.

As far as Honda not making a powerful car, that's just wrong. True, the torque numbers are low, but there is a trade off for the high revving engine screaming at 7800 rpm.

Before BMW hit the jackpot the N54, they were known for their high revving engines, kind of like Honda.

I am very interested to see how this new honda does.

Smart man. I personally dont care for convertibles. My s2k buddies tease me b/c my top is NEVER down. I'm positive you drove the s2k b/c u mentioned the gearbox. If you go to s2ki, a boatload of those guys have BMW's as well. The can confirm that. Alpine White is the fastest color!!!

I have driven my friends S2K so I know how it drives. Like I said before this new Honda looks interesting. And yea I know other people here drive S2K's and sure they probably wont agree with me that it looks like a pussy car as they think the 135i shuldnt exist and think the 370Z looks and performs better so I wouldnt be amazed. They do have high revving engines but no Honda doesnt make powerful cars... if they ever make the next gen NSX maybe itll change my opinion on that.

I see where all this anger/resentment is coming from. That dosent make any sense as most of the s2k drivers were here inquiring about the 1series. I really wish you would have a bit more respect and stop calling it a ''pussy car.''

Like I said before, Honda is a very conservative company. They arent in the sports car business. However, when they enter it, their presense is known. The first gen NSX competed and beat cars triple its price. And it did it with a lowly V6. When the s2000 debuted, it knocked around cars like the Z4 conv, Porsche Boxter, Audi TT, and Nissan 350Z conv. They did it with a lowly 4 cylinder. Honda has never strayed from its principles. Reliablity first, everything comes after. It is a fact that Honda's CEO instructed R&D to beat the GT-R. If they ever release it, it will be amazing. If they ever replace the S2K, it wont be anything like mine. It will be super efficient. I said I love Honda for totally different reasons at the beginning of this thread. Their reliability is not overrated. The standard features arent overrated either. They dont nickel dime you on every single option. Each car has 2-3 trims. The RESALE on Honda's are not overrated either. Their are people out there that can appreciate a high reving light weight car. Not anyone can hop in a s2000 and make it drive fast and corner fast. It really takes skill.

Hybrids have been bland because the purpose of hybrid technology is to save gas by driving as frugally as possible. I did not read through all of the replies, but the S2k is a great car. It's not fast, but it's fun to drive. The car was ahead of its time and the small engine pumping out ~240 is nothing short of genius craftsmanship. Up to date, the S2k has the best gearbox I've ever driven.

I'd pick the S2k over the 350z, 1 series, and Z4 easily.

I hope that the production car comes out like this. I like the front profile, has the M-tech bumper look to it, heh.
