5th pic looks like a 07+ Honda Civic Si from the top.. and no it does not look like a 1series at all..

ignore your bias against the 1, they really look similar from that angle, it makes the vw look like it's got a boot, and they both have strange curves on the side

it's not about being bias against the 1 series.. the angle does not at all look similar to the 1 series..

The 1's side has a sow's belly curve to it. The Scirroco's curve at least makes it look better instead of worse.

there's nothing similar about em in any way.

that strange curve is called a swage line. it's a common styling element that's pronounced in these two cars, but in no way are they similar.

the lines that I think (and still do) are common were not the strange curves

it was the side profile

ok, i definitely don't see anything in common with the profiles. that's probably the most different part between the two.

ok, well a profile is a direct side shot of the car. the profile is the outer line that runs along the car.

That is a great looking hatch. If it looked anything like a 1 series, I'd expect more people to come out and call it ugly. (I don't think 1 series is too bad, but others do)
