Thinking about getting a new cell phone
I bought my wife and I iPhones back in November. I like my iPhone, but find it a lot harder to use for business. My wife hates her iPhone because she can't text/e-mail fast enough. I'm thinking about changing them to Blackberries. Anyone have the Bold? Can it do almost everything the iPhone can do? Youtube? Watch movies? The iPhone has a pretty long battery life. What about the Bold? How's the new Blackberry app store?

I went from a Treo (which is also a touch-screen, maybe even the first?) to an iPhone and found a lot of things disappointing about the "business" aspect of the iPhone.
Things like setting appointments, due dates, text documents, NO COPY PASTE, difficulty typing emails, etc. Take a look at the new Treo, not sure what the number after it is now. They have a Mac and PC version. I had the Mac, I think it just had the P after it instead of the WX. And, it has a raised QWERTY board. Graphics and other stuff sucked though. Peace.

I had 2 Blackberry devices and loved them both. They were the older models so YouTube viewing was not accessible w/o cracking it. This was when I sent out numerous emails a day and found copy/paste and push email feature to be extremely helpful. I tested many times and in most cases, the email arrives at the same time as it would on my email box from the computer.
I didn't't use them to the extend like some of others do though, with syncing to your computer and all. |

landscape mode it there for email/sms. wait and try it out. i am having hard time finding anything even close to an iPhone, and i work for a company that writes software for cell phones, so i literally have thousands of different handsets at my disposal.

also Palm Pre. FAIL from the start. OS looks nice and all with some cool little features, but the device itself has pretty retarded form factor. when you slide that TINY keyboard out, the phone starts to look like a rocking chair and it's pretty hard to hold it and type on it at the same time. Kinda stupid.

I have a Bold and like it. If you're using it for business purposes, it's more appropriate then the iPhone. I can't stand typing on the touch screen. Typing on the bold is smooth and efficient.
When it comes to browsing, youtube, and apps.. the iphone wins hands down. It's more of a 'toy' then a phone imo |

Get a Blackberry. Everyone i know has an iPhone. The phone is super neat but I'm reading and responding to emails all day long. I need actual buttons to push. I plan on upgrading to a Bold really soon. My old Blackberry is a fat brick. I still love it though.

Not to thread jack, but I'm getting a BB Javelin (8900)! Have you considered that. I can give you an update as soon as I pick the phone up day after tomorrow!

ATT calls the 8900 a Curve. It's got no 3G and no video messenging. 3G is a big one for me since I'd be using Slingplayer Mobile.

I personally love SE but right now, feel they have nothing on the business side except for the Xperia, which is not getting that much love from the look of things! |

Everything I just read about the Onxy leads me to believe it has no 3G. Right now I want a new phone and the Bold seems like the way to go.
