It's still a 2+2 but I bet it will be much better than the rear seats of the A5 Coupe. The doors are also frameless which is great btw.

The thing that annoys me is the A4 should have been a sedan version of this. The A4 is too big and boring unless with S-line kit. I can see a lot of A4 owners wanting this new sportback. It's also the perfect solution for people who want more space than coupe but hate looks of the A4.

Looks great, kudos to Audi for having a solid line up of good looking cars.

Where did you hear that?

Though to be fair that wouldn't be to far from the truth based on recent new model announcements. Audi must not rate North America as important to it's grand plans for world domination as much as other German brands.

Maybe it true the reason is Americans lack of desire for hatchbacks.

Unfortunately, we won't get the A5 Sportback here in America. In a statement released with the video, Audi of America explains that the new model doesn't fit its current plans for this market. In other words, the company doesn't think it can sell enough of the five-door hatchbacks to justify the expense of federalizing it.

We get the atrocious 5er.

I think I like it... looks a little stretched in the back section but otherwise pretty cool.

What would bother me though is having a $50k car with the 2.0T engine... it's great in a car like the Jetta or GTi but I would expect more out of a mid range luxury car. Even the 3.2 wouldn't feel that peppy in the A5SB.

Btw, this is not a personal dig at yourself but why is it that Americans relate the price and status of a car to the size of it's engine?

Surely the actual performance should have more bearing on things, though to be perfectly honest the image and quality of the product plus it's looks should be the deciding factor on it's price.
