Nah it seems you've just had bad experiences and i can certainly understand your frustration with BMW but i meant the numerous write ups and reviews of Jaguar's poor quality in recent years and if you have a bad taste in your mouth from BMW why in the world would you try out Jaguar which has been having these issues for years.... Just sayin

Bmw is terrible for reliability and quality. A least when i take my Jag in i can book an appointment for the same week it breaks, with BMW i have to wait over a month to get any work done on it.

Again i love BMW, but am very tired of the servicing they require.

I'd never consider buying that car but enjoy it anyways.

Same problem I have with Bmw dealerships over here. You have to call a flat bed and dump the car in front of the dealer to get some service. Once you explain your problem they hand you the keys to an economy car at Discount. I don't mind the rental car btw....

too much chrome on that jag but ovearall it's a cool car and i'm sure you love that funky high tech interior compared to the somewhat clinical bimmer.

Craig, you can't look back at previous jags and judge this generation by the same yardstick. This along with the newer XJ are different cars and are built with the goal to completely break away from the past of older 90s jags which were unreliable or just uncompetitive. The XF and XJ are getting excellent press over here in Europe. Really a final proper alternative to the germans and inside the new XJ is bloody brilliant i would say, reminds a classic motor speed boat but in a good way.

the older X type and S type are old cars and are crap thanks to all that nice neglect from Ford.

^ I read it all and a sticky fuel door seems to be it. Not bad if you ask me.

He had a bad window regulator but no other reports of this. I am reading it right?

Bottom line. All the comments mentioned the outstanding service they receive from Jaguar. No real internal gremlins.

I have seen nothing but high regards reported from owners.

my boss bought one and wants to sell it......he's had issues with the pop up gear selector, door trim, squeeky brakes and power control on the passenger seat....oh ya...one more issue....apparently when you turn on the ignition, the vents rotate open....his driver vent gets stuck half way.....he's had it with this car...but maybe he has a lemon and its an isolated issue.
best of luck and happy cruzin!

Beautiful new car man!

I looked at one as well and would take this any day over the E60 M5. The E63 is beautiful but is it worth an additional $30K? My friend in Edmonton has had a few Jags and also has an XF R and he loves it. Congrats!

Uninspiring exterior, terrible front grille, horrible interior. I'm glad you enjoy it though.

Maybe my photo of the interior isnt the best. Here are a few pro pics

one very cool rear quater pic

What i like about this car is it turns heads. In my city a BMW is as common as a honda civic. I might see 3-4 new Jags a month. I think the are producing a great new fresh product. its just a metter of time before you strt to see alot more on the road. All XF-R's in Canada are sold out as of now. Hear there is a wait list now
