I employ a similar approach. I try to eat reasonably and healthily 5-6 days a week, enjoying a day "off" where I don't workout and I eat/drink whatever I want. I like to call it: "Fat Fuc* Friday." Usually works like a charm and definitely gives me a day to look forward to.

Eating healthy is a lifestyle. Diets and fat pills are a quick fix but you'll never be able to maintain it. Try to eat healthy throughout the week and have 1 solid day off where you can eat whatever you want (within reason). Also, there is no harm in eating occasional unhealthy food so long as you monitor how many calories you take in that day and burn it off before you go to sleep
