Blake, being here in BFE, we have a lake close by lol (Lake Texoma) I've been on numerous boats, but nothing touches my friend's baja. That thing is amazing and is a fast boat

i've spent plenty of summers on texoma, but it's a different ball game here. if i was on a big lake like texoma where overnight cruises are pointless, i would already have a baja.

i absolutely love eliminator boats! a good friend of mine in dallas had an eliminator daytona...by far the most fun boat i've ever been on. twin s/c big block mercruisers with the catamaran hull was amazing. that beast cruised comfortably, and stably, at 60+. the only drawback was it was carbureted. that boat came to an early end of life, though, someone stole it and was found a few days later gutted and stripped.

Buy the cruiser. Then buy this as your go fast toy.
The Yamaha FZR jet ski. It's the fastest thing out. 1812cc supercharged motor...0-30 mph is faster than a Z06 Vette. I plan on buying one in a few years. |

I have to admit, that 680 Sunsport is very nice. There's one docked at my marina. I'm very impressed with the design, fit and finish of that boat. I think Sea Ray may be considered one of the top North American boat manufacturers. However I still think the Europeans are just a bit better...this Sunseeker Predator 72 to me seems like the ultimate 3 proper stateroom cruiser.

I agree Sea Rays have really stepped it up in the past five years or so IMO. They are well built domestic built boats but the quality and finish does not come close to the Europeans IMO. I just picked up a 68 Predator about 10 months ago. The boat rides fantastic and is fast as heck. Fuel burn isnt too awful either. Here are some pictures. of her. |

Be sure to get something that will work in fast mode. I took my cruiser out with my buddies and drove it fast and the gearbox crapped out on me for some reason. Now I am stuck with a broken boat...

Anywhere from 18 to 25 feet depending on your budget and preferences I kind of like Donzi, too. |

sea rays are always good, but i see so many of them, and we used to own one. ours was continuously problematic, but idk how they fair reliability-wise as a brand. i say you should check out formulas.

Yeah the black domes really make a big difference. Also get some underwater lights. I believe there is a supplier called, "Underwater Lights USA" in Miami. The exumas are beautiful. I was staying at the Four Seasons on Great Exuma, never been there by boat though. It's definitely more peaceful than Paradise Island. |

Best boat to own is a boat owned by your friend(s).
My dad's always had a boat and with everything else life eventually takes a turn and you can't use it like you want. It hasn't been regularly used in 10 years. |

lol, that's what my dad says too. he always says, "the second best day of a boat owner's life is when they buy their boat, and the first is when they sell it."
