Let me guess. You don't have kids? You are young? 20's probably?

So, with your theory the reason kids are getting heaver is because our genetic make up has changed. Our children are now genetically heaver. "Hey... No worries they will become tall and grow out of it".

FYI. Aging...obesity...and diseases are 35% genetic 65% the choices we make with our nutrition, exercise, sleep...lifestyle. This has been proven with recent science.

You don't think kids and young adults has anything to do with dual income households...parents working late? Feeding kids fast food and processed crap? Children getting less exercise than anytime in history? Parents feeling guility not spending time with their kids so they let them sit in front of video games and TV all the time? Our schools are feeding the kids the most processed ...sugar filled...fat fillled...chemical filled crap? This is not a problem?

What is concerning is when people accept that it is...what it is. There is no problem. Hey, the fast food ...processed food...companies love that mind set.
You completely misinterpreted what I was saying. I agree with everything you said. It is a huge problem.

At the same time when kids are playing video games and not being active outside they're more prone to being over weight. Parents don't parent anymore, they let technology do that. Families are no longer families b/c everyone has this "me" or "I" personality. Its why marriages fail. People are so consumed with their own well being to care or even attempt to understand what's going on in the other members of their families lives.
