Holy crap that's not bad at all. Is it too late to get in on that do you think? I wonder which would look better on Mystic B, CF or painted..

clearbra the splitters. Yep it is a good price. You might want to check with katsbimmer or trendix on availability and pricing. I think both CF or painted finish works on your mystic blue. Really up to personal preference.

I'll look into that. My car right now is clear-bra'd, I wonder if you are supposed to remove the clearbra before putting this on. It might look pretty crappy with the different levels of clear bra and body parts..

Hmmm. I'll look into it thanks..

Impressive

I'm part of the diplomatic community here in DC, more on trade representation. Sort of an analyst/marketing/PR/technical standards that sort of thing. Its hard to pinpoint a major function as we do just about everything. It's also hard to explain to some folks. We're more of a quasi governmental agency. Boring stuff, no comparison to what you do.

I'd almost want to put the splitters on in the summer and take them off for the winters. Wonder if the bolts are enough to secure it well without the 3M backing.. Or if it needs the 3M tape to help hold it all flush..

I would leave the clear bra. It'd make it easier to remove the splitters should you decided to do so down the road.

I'd think the bolts would hold them up just fine and the role of the 3M is to hold them down flush. I can't say, I am curious to know too...gonna have to wait until the splitters are in my hand. Do you think 3M is easy to remove without damage to the paintwork?

No, not at all..

That sounds interesting though, how did you get started into that. My girlfriend is into international relations, government, law, languages, etc, and DC is one of the places I could see us ending up. That or any embassy around the world..

I'm really looking forward to being first man to be honest!!

It's funny lately I think everything else is much more interesting than the stuff I do. I'd be curious to see what one of your days is like..

It's probably like de-badging your car, nothing that some floss and goo-gone couldn't fix. Then re-wax that area. I don't think it would cause any permanent damage, other than being a real PITA once a year.. Maybe you could just leave it on year round, it doesn't look like it effects ground clearance too much. Maybe just affects approach angle, if you have a steep driveway or anything.

I have a finance background, I just fell into it.

My days, its a desk job, what can I say My annual 5,000 posts can attest to that. We have some interesting events in and around town every now and then. I try to fit in about 6 trips annually as well.

If she's interested, she should check out career options with the state dept. I see a yearning to travel/live abroad in you

Yeah desk jobs are desk jobs.. I know exactly what you're saying. The trips you take sound really cool though.. If you're ever up in the Boston area, give a call, we'll meet up and grab a beer.

I actually made out a check to the State Dept yesterday - For a passport. Can't wait to get out of here and explore the world!!

Yeah, traveling sounds awesome. Right now I think she might go the law school route, as it seems like the right path to what she is looking for. We both want to get out there and start exploring though, you're absolutely right. I guess we'll see how things end up in a few...

It seems like we're both looking to change what we do on a day to day basis 180 degrees. I'm just hoping she becomes president soon so I can chauffer her around the world, walk the dogs, go play with kids!!

Will definitely do so! Offer applies if you find yourself in DC as well.

Travelling is a must. Every country you travel to and experience is like having an extra jigsaw piece to the puzzle...you start to get a better view of the picture (on every level).

Good job bullying the vendor into cheap CF splitters btw. That price is much more realistic than $600..
