Perhaps If I wanted to show off my money like an NBA player, a member of an entourage or a lowlife drug pusher, i'd buy a Rolex...or a Mercedes...or a a gold tooth...
...They all seem the same to me. But different strokes for different folks... |

There is always a fine line between show and tell, and "looky here my penis is bigger cause I have more stuff".
But this didn't strike me as a 24" wheels on a Merc thing. More of a I enjoy quality stuff, here check it out. Heck I've got a few rifles that cost most of what a Daytona does, but if I were to post up pics of them in an appropriate forum I wouldn't get hassled about trying to impress anyone. A BMW Forum seems a fine place for a little show and tell if someone feels the urge. It should be a board full of folks that like good stuff, QUALITY STUFF... Not a board full of sour grapes and bitter attitudes.

nice collection of watches, i too have a two tone rolex submariner. but no offense, this seems like a "look at me, i'm loaded" kinda thread.
if you want to show off your watches, then start a thread about watches, dont just post up pictures of youre jewelery. its not you started a thread "post your bling", you started a thread just to show off. just very materialistic in my eyes. a shallow thread. anyway, to each their own.... P.S: for a such an expensive price tag, i never understood why rolex cant keep time right??? (if you know or own a rolex, you would know what im talking about) |

gorgeous collection.
I bought my wife the paltinum faced yachtmaster for christmas. I've owned a GMTII, the black faced Daytona and the 50th Ann Sub. Sold the GMT and Daytona though. Just prefer larger case timepieces. (Glycine Lagunare LE #24/200 world wide, Omega PO 45mm and IWC Big Pilot) I am also a subsriber of the magazine you work for ! |

Pretty pretty please tell me you get those really cheap because you work for the magazine and didn't spend the cost of a car on them.

What's wrong with spending the full amount on watches ?
I love cameras, computers, cars and watches. I have about 30K in watches. They are a 'hobby' and if you buy the right ones, and investment. kj |

Nothing wrong with it. If that's your thing it's totally cool, but unless I had a ton of money in the bank I wouldn't spend all that on watches. You see 30k in nice watches and I see an Evo or a new M3 + extra cash instead of the 335.
