Which is by your definition the midwest, and by that definition a bunch of "WTF" and non existent. According to yourself, you wouldn't hire yourself. Considering you reside in and attend school in a non-existent state, would you agree that your subsequent education is non-existant? Would explain a lot, actually...

A state being boring and not a place I would personally want to live in has nothing to do with a school within the state, especially if said school is a private institution. Personally I plan on leaving the state once I graduate. I've found there to be a lot that I do like about the area but then theres also a lot that I don't like. If I had my choice between going back east and staying I would choose to leave, which I am. I will make the most of my time while I'm here.

Im less concerned about "what I like" and more concerned about a job .

Its really not that bad Jay. Everything is relative, sure its -402349u02958309842 here in the winter, but how is that any different than any other weather extreme? Its not like you can do anything when its 120 out, or 150% humidity, or when a hurricane is being thrown up your ass, or (Insert environmental extreme of your location here)..

And if weather isn't your beef.. People really aren't full retard in the Midwest like you think they are. The media just has this ignorant portrayal of the mid section of the country. Sure they're are dumb asses who don't know anything about current "pop culture"/arent hipsters, but isn't that the case everywhere?

From what Ive learned (at my self righteous "I know everything" age of 21 years of age) from traveling and living down where you are... these two little cliche' rings true

"the grass isnt greener on the other-side" / "It is what you make it"

I prefer the humidity over the overwhelming heat. Full retard? Ive said nothing of the people. My friend from the middle of nowhere Kansas is one of the nicest warm hearted people I know along with a friend from SD. When traveling through the midwest I thought all the people were very nice, warm, and inviting. I personally just prefer a faster paced lifestyle than what Ive seen in other parts of the country. There are plenty of great people as well as smart people all throughout the country.

OTOH, I loved the city of Boston but wasn't a fan of the people. Its all relative.
