A couple months ago, I got my 1992 525i, and it's my first car (I'm only 17). Cant beleive how fortunate i am to own this car. I'm sure even as time goes on I will never forget this car.. Too many memories have been made in it already.

THAT is a post that I like....everyone here seems like a baller. In fact certain member post that they drive an xyz car when in reality it belongs to their parents...We dont care about your parents car. Don't worry I had a shitbox as a first car you will work your way up and be proud of yourself.

Yeah its a good one, props to him! I didnt have the joys of my parents giving me a car, or them even letting me drive their cars. I bought my first car myself, with no finacial help from from my parents. It lasted me 2-3 years before the entire suspension went out, which wasnt my fault, I discovered after I bought it that it used to be a rental  Yeah, ouch. Lesson learned. My 2nd car was the first NEW car I ever bought, right off the lot, and once again, paid for by me. And my BMW was the first car I ever ordered for myself, and, you guessed it, paid for by me. I have been lucky, I never had that complete rundown POS car, even though my first car had issues, it wasn't bad. I just dont see myself missing my first car. |

Yeh , I always think about my first F360 Modena and my everyday beater NSX....oh, just realised you weren't talking about a dream but reality
I had a Chevrolet Blazer and I learned how to solve many critical problems in that car as it was a car made by sleepy worker on a Sunday morning. I also did some research and I found out, I wasn't alone and this car was laded with problems. To take out the positives of my experience, that car almost made me a mechanic with specialty in fixing dynamo's

'98 Jeep Cherokee...can't say I think about it often. That was before I got into cars. Since 2005 my cars have gone '05 STi, '08 135i, '11 M3.
There was a riced out '00 Accord in there somewhere. |

A little.
We had 2 when I first got my license in '90. 1. '72 Cutlass Supreme (orange/350 rocket/auto) 2. '70 Z28 (yellow w/black stripes/350/4-speed) I love technology. Can't imagine owning a muscle car again, unless I had the cash to put into it. If I had the excess cash to get ones of my all time favs...it'd have to be an NSX. just me, miiipilot

I still think about my first car, a 1987 Mitsubishi Cordia GSR Turbo.
After that i had a '92 Evo 1, '03 Integra Type R, '08 Evo X, and now '11 135i but i have to say i enjoyed the Cordia the most. If i found it for sale again now i'd probably buy it back and keep it forever!

1988 300E... I don't miss that thing at all. Especially since it shut down on me on the freeway.

The only time I think of my 1987 Mercury Cougar is when I'm pondering all the money I could have had in the bank by now if I'd still been driving it. Of course that was 12 years ago so I'm not sure how realistic that scenario actually is, but the point remains.
