To answer OP's question, most recent a bar, week before that met that one at the bar, a couple weeks before that the bar, month or so before that, party. I can continue but the majority of the ones I have met have been alcohol induced.

Met my current gf @ a party that one of my employees was having. The employee wanted her paycheck early before a flight to Egypt so I dropped it off at the party. Employee asked me to come inside (I looked like crap after a long day of work). Went in, saw Her with a wedding ring on.

Her and I were conversing well. As soon as she walked away for another drink, I quickly asked my employee if her friend was really married. Turns out it was a ring her mother gave her. She later told me what attracted her to me, the fact I wasn't trying as hard as other guys. Honestly, I wasn't trying hard because I thought she was married!

I packed up all of my shit from the apartment I shared with my insane ex (toxic relationship) and literally 2 minutes after pulling out of the driveway, my cousin who lives in Florida called asking what I was up to, completely out of the blue. I told him I was moving back home and he said "wait, you're single now? I know a great girl for you!!" I basically told him to go fuck himself because I was totally done with that whole scene. I forgot about it but he ended up giving her my number and she called me a few days later just to hang out as she had recently moved to the area. We hung out and just hit it off. It's been 4 and a half years and we're getting married in Sept.
