I doubt retailers will get them until the day before...and even if they got them earlier, you wouldn't be able to find one...Apple is really good about keeping release dates...

Apple loves lawsuits...and seeing as you can only get them from two places...the apple store and an AT&T stores..I am sure they have made it clear to everyone that if anyone is caught breaching the street date will have MAJOR ramifications!

Not as many as you would think....I have no doubt that the iphone is going to be a smash hit...but the reason you have stared to see so many phones like the razr is you can now get one for free..they were rare when they were at the 500 dollar price point...but the iphone won't engulf the mainstream just because of its price point...if it were at a lower price...it would be huge....but this forum is a community of higher income people....if you were to hop over to a KIA, or Honda forum (which is what the general population drives) they would not be able to justify the 500 dollar price point, (let alone 600) Almost everyone here can buy an iPhone and not worry too much about eating that month..

Hell, I just wanted it for the ringer, but I've already ripped it and put in on my phone. Plus, I get more music, vidoe, and pics. 2gb can hold a bunch of crap

I couldn't open that one here (at work), but being a Midi file I assume that's the bad quality version of the ringer. Don't know for sure. The one i have sounds very nice, kinda erie...
