Speaking of this, how are procede 335i's holding up against the RS4?

You know, that's one of the first things my dad asked me--how do you think a Procede 335 would have done? Well, isn't the E46 M3 still faster than the 335 at higher speeds, like over 100? There is a 12 minute video where the M3 and B7 RS4 were compared--and the RS4 had a HUGE advantage in straight-line speed over the M3. My point, as I alluded to in my original post, is that a Bimmer wanting to keep up with that car is gonna need some serious punch.

And for the record--I have no idea if this guy was running stock or if he had modded his car--all I know is that the back of it looks very nice.

dont forget he had 3 other people in the car, plus him...easy 6-800lbs on TOP of the 4000lb curb weight.

Makes me wonder what my 335 can hold against one...

I'd be interested to see what my 335 coupe could have done. A PROcede 335 coupe would probably have taken it....I hope...No Rs4's in my area to test on though.

I'm very interested in Vishnu's new version of the procede. I'm hearing rumors of like 50-60HP on top of the old one. What does that make it, about 450HP with exhaust then?

Pretty much, I cant wait for v 2.0 to come out, then all I'll need is too wait for someone to make a worthwhile intake and Turbo back exhaust, and you will have a E9X m3 killer.

This is the vid I was talking about--nice performance by the M3 all in all, but the RS4 was VERY impressive in person.

Here is a real RS 4 ...on the track at Laguna..this is a friend of mine...

And here is the car I was driving around at the track two weekends ago...from the front..they look pretty close..although if you know Audis well..this is actually a "DTM" package front bumper. This car is an A4 2.0T.

sometimes it can get confusing.

Your way off...the US weight is only 3947.

Well, I have played around with an A4 1.8T before, and there is no way the car I saw tonight was one of those. I don't remember the chrome mirrors that people have talked about, but it had dual exhaust with the Euro style tips, a SR4 badge on the lower left part of the trunk lid, a "V8" emblem on the side, and some serious rumble coming from the exhaust. I don't know my Audis that well--but this was definately not a 1.8, 2.0T, OR one of the 3.0 sixes. It was way too fast for that.

His wheels, now that I think about it, had very aggressive spacers--they were pushed out very far--so maybe it was modded up.

Funny story! This actually sorta happened to me today too. I was driving to my sister's house for Father's day lunch and when i exited i see an audi coming up behind me really fast. I think ok, maybe he missed the exit, or he wants to play? Anyways, i look in my mirror and look for signs to see if it was an s4 or rs4. Sure enough, silver side view mirrors tipped me off, and i knew i was no match for this guy.

We're going down the street and he pulls next to me at a light. I give a quick look and confirm it's an rs4. Light turns green and he just floors it! I wasn't even trying to race, but i guess he had something to prove.

I drove an RS4 at Willow Springs last Nov. Whatever kind of car you want to call it, it pulled like a freight @#$%#ing train and handled everything I threw at it (which, admittedly, is not all that much, but still). That was definitely my favorite car of the day (engine/exhaust sound of the gods)...had more fun with it than the M6 (SMG = ).

Good story, and he will meet his match too. Always someone faster. Nothing wrong with getting beat, especially if you didn't know.

A 335i with PROcede, will spank the RS4, in a straight line

Let's see what PROcede v2 will offer.
