There was a car in the right lane, so you moved to the left lane (what was wrong with the center lane?) then back to make the right turn? If I got that right, you moved one too many lanes to make your turn, for the conditions, i.e. you crossed two lanes in a single manuver to make your right turn.

IF you had just moved to the center lane and then made the right turn, assuming the car parked in the right lane was within 100 feet or so of the corner, then let the judge know the road conditions with the little vehicle board they normally have, and you'll have a decent chance at getting the lane violation removed.

Get the ticket, go research teh vehicle code they cited you for, and then make your story work with it.

Seriously, some of you need to stop with the useless comments, it only adds to the stress.

To the OP: seems like the cops were dicks, but o well, deal with it. It's not like you can track them down and blow up their cars. (Or maybe you can, that's what I would do). I'm assuming this is your first ticket so just pay it, go through online traffic school (takes like 30 minutes, literally), and let it go.

It won't hit your insurance if you do traffic school, and I'm assuming you don't have to go to court. Call up the courts office just in case.

That's my advice.

SO then I ask him if he could wave the right turn so I could just prove the insurence thing in court. he was like I am already letting you off for not indicating. When i was 16, and i got this brand new audi, i got pulled over...and the pig started giving me shit that I was "wasting" daddy's money or some shit like that...and so then after I got the ticket i was like..."you seem a little bitter that I am half your age, and driving a car you could never afford, and it seems like your daddy never hugged you when you were little, huh?"....then i rolled my window up and drove off....wow was he mad or what....he had no reason to say that shit to you or anyone else...its just jealousy.
