Oldies but Goodies

Thanks for posting all the awesome pics, man! I too spent quite a while taking them in. I've always been a huge fan of older BMW's, and the factory-fresh Sport Evo M3 and Techno Violet M5 are just amazing machines.

Ha ha, I was there on one of the days and was curious of all the classy cars. My car made one of the pics, black e90 with black line tails, I was chasing that orange gt3...

PS. The green e30 is carbon fiber, with e46 m3 csl engine....

I have to mention the Ford Galaxie, and the Altezza (Lexus) IS300/IS200.
Great pics, I really liked the 2002s, and I like that the factory had a M5 with M6 wheels on it. Also the Mercedes Benz 190E 2.5 Cosworth racecar.

Stunning collection of machinery.

BTW, what is the official color name of the purple/eggplant E34 M5?

Definitely a lot of techno going on Was one of my fave colors on the older (E34) M5, but while it works great on that body (and possibly the E39) I feel it'll be out of place on the F10.

I do see one day BMW reviving it and making a tribute out of it, perhaps on a 2-door coupe or so.

Im jealous of anyone who got to attend this event. Awesome amount of cars and history. I need to study more of BMW legacy, just hard to retain it all with other things have going on.

It also makes perfect sense why some of you get so upset about changes/progressions BMW makes that seem to upset such a glorious past.

Some really beautiful cars out there, if I could just drive them all, GOD please

Only 3 words to describe this thread, event, and photos: Full Of WIN

Thanks for taking the time to post all of this. I really enjoyed the video as well, seeing the drivers talk about the cars of yesteryear with nostalgia was quite something.

Also loved the 5 generations of M5's, the M3 GT4 (sick!), all the M1's, and really all of the amazing cars. Just speechless.
