My personal out look on life is that you never admit or agree to have mastering something........becuase you can always improve, follow new teachings, and keep up with the ever changing world...........no matter who you are or how good you are at whatever. Thats what keeps the world going, without that drive to do better, we'd be stuck in a pretty lame world. Take BMW for example, always striving to figure out how to be the best.

If you guys are into The Game you should check out "The Pick Up Artist" on Mondays @ 9PM on VH1. It's hosted by Mystery; Style's mentor from The Game. The premise is he takes 8 guys who are awful with women and trains them over an 8 week period. At the end of every show 1 guy is eliminated. The last man remaining is crowned "The Pick Up Artist".
It's a great show, but let me tell you, watching some of these guys who have no game trying to pick up girls is just painful: There's a bunch more clips on Youtube.

The think that a lot of people are assuming is that this turns you into some sort of robot. Yes, there are "steps" to Mystery's method, but these steps have some of your personality put in them. The people that try this stuff, do use "stock" material at first, but soon cater it to their own personality.
"Pick-up" is a word that is thrown around a lot, instead you can think of it as meeting women. I think there are two types of "pickup artists": The ones that just want to hook up for one night stands, and one that wants to find a real relationship. Most are the latter. The reason this book and show even exist is because some people are truly scared to meet new people. How many of you can say you've actually walked up to a girl in a bar, at the supermarket, etc. and say you tried to talk to them because you were attracted to them? I'll bet not many. The book "the game" is a first hand experience of a guy going form zero to hero. Sure, he uses some tricks and stuff, but it's still HIM, the women are interested in HIM. Just as girls use clothing and makeup to attract men, who's to say it isn't fair to use a trick to get them interested in you? The clothing and makeup fade away pretty quick, and you'll also find that there's more to a girl than tits and ass. There's a lot to say about this topic. I think the book is a must read for every guy. It kind of shows you that you need to take charge of your life is you feel that your love life isn't where you want it to be. That's my two cents. There's nothing wrong about reading a book. Sometimes these things are just interesting. You are a total tool if you depend on it but if it works or helps, who cares? Anyone who blindly talks smack probably doesn't have much of a social life themselves.

So I finished reading the book yesterday and here's what it basically boiled down to: there are two types of guys that want to learn the game. One is the kind that are shy by nature and just want some tips & confidence of going up to girls and talk to them. That's the kind of guy Style is (was).
The other type is one that is obsessed with "the game" and just wants to beat it and play it over and over with no real goal in mind. In the end it's better to be the former than the latter. My 2 cents. |

I wouldn’t mind reading the book to hear someone else’s interpretation. |
