I will post pics when it's done. thursday is my day off, i'll be at Jinx in Georgetown to get it done...maybe stop by Rhino's next door to have a few drinks...

basically the spear will act as an arm band, but it's broken...this signify something i've lost dearly to me...the feathers will hang down, and the tip of the feather will be about where my bicep would be. i'm excited as hell

I can't wait to see pics. It is personal and not just generic which is great. The arm band idea is good but you are making it a little unique by having it broken so thats much better. It sounds like the feathers that hang down won't go too far down the arm or be overdone. Are you going to have much color to it?

I got my first tat last September. It was difficult deciding what to get. Since travel is an important part of my life, I got a globe with compass points extending out. It's a nice color job, with topography. It took the artist 15 minutes to draw it up. Got it in vegas...

I wouldn't say that is always true. I only have 1 tattoo and have no plans of getting another. Mine is centered between my shoulder blades about 2 inches from the base of my neck. It's a blazing sun with a open center that has the Chinese character for ice, all of it is black. The tat to me is contrasting elements, 2 opposites but can at the same time work together.

I personally hate them and am glad I never got one......to each their own though. I don't like anything that much to write it on my body.

I like em SO LONG as you can cover them up for work and such.. I hate these people who have their faces tattooed up..Its just stupid looking.. I have a tattoo on my back..but unlike most girls..mine is like two centimeters north my butt crack lol. so when I wear LOW rise jeans you still cant see it.. Only when Im in a bikini does it show..

i've always wanted a goalie mask dripping blood over my heart, due to my life long love for hockey...but I really have to get in some serious shape before doing something like that...

they're a great thing to self-express, I just worry what it'll look like in 20-30 years...if I live that long...

I used to do that...got me in a lot of trouble...then 30+ hit and I decided I needed to change a lot...somethings just work out for the best...

I'm not going to tell someone how to live, and I'm not going to complain...life has been good to me...and there's so much more ahead...we're all pretty blessed to share the expensive hobbies we've got...

You should do what makes you happy...and that's cool by me.

and i like the tatoo idea...it sounds very meaningful...like there's a void in life that its symbolism will fill...

we all have things like that, and you're taking a huge step by expressing it graphically...

best of luck bro.
