I heard Conjuring was pretty scary though Not "scary" it's more of a gruesome killing type movie. The end will definitely have you sitting there going WTF though. Real mind twister |

I have no intent of taking this thread in another direction, but for those who have seen Poltergeist you remember the scenes where stuff was moving by itself?
Well, when I was about 12 I shyt you not, me and my family were all about to leave the house for an evening outing and my dad's kangol hat flew off the top of our coat rack across the room right next to us. I didn't fully grasp what had happened because it was so odd to see. Later that week we called our pastor to come pray over the house and we all heard a sound of a little girl crying, but could never find exactly where it was coming from. What our pastor believed caused all this (condensed version for your eyes sake) was our WEIRD neighbor on the other side of our fence was a hoarder and his house was recently foreclosed and they said human bones were found amongst all his junk in his backyard. The story is scarier to me as an adult now than a kid because it all makes sense now. |

but yeah, my wife and I watch SpongeBob or Diners Drive-Ins and Dives after watching scary movies. we will NOT freaking walk-upstairs with fresh images of "rotting bitches" on our minds Quote:

wife speaker phoned my ass from work and asked me if I wanted to go to "movie-night" with her and her smoking hot coworker. I immediately said "OH my freaking god, you serious !??!" I heard a sharp burst of laughter from my wife and her coworker - apparently my wife had already informed her coworker how much a cheese-dick I was when it came to scary movies HAHAHA !!!! her coworker is stupid hot also - would have been great to walk in there with those two bad bitches, but having heart palpitations and diarrhea wasn't worth it... |

i'm actually sitting in my house alone right now. I've never believed in paranormal shit because nothing has ever happened to me. but dude, if I sit here and some shit goes down, it wouldn't take me but 15 seconds to put some clothes on and GTFO. i'd never come back, i'd never make another payment and i'd probably rent an apartment or shack up with my parents HAHA !!!! as the kids say "I ain't about that life"........ fuck all that..... |

I think I've experienced paranormal activities in my life but the strangest (and not really that scary) are the tappings I feel on my shoulder every so years. I would be standing and there wouldn't be anyone within at least thirty feet of me and I'd feel a hand on my shoulder. I'd immediately look around but there would be no one who could've done that.

Now the most troubling and or unnerving movie I have seen in a very long while (and by that I mean in well over a decade or more) is the remake of EVIL DEAD. If you want to be frightened and unsettled, see this movie and get back to me. Although The Conjuring is also entertaining and def has it's moments, it does NOT compare to the sheer terror the Evil Dead brings. I as well as several reviewers and even movie directors mentioned how they were literally shocked in disbelief how this film managed to obtain a R rating. After reading some of the comments here LOL, some of you may want to pass on this one though.

I enjoy a sci-fi thriller or something scary that really makes me think hard, like Paranormal Activity. However, I can not do gory movies, like SAW. I will get nauseous, pass out, and piss my self...in the theater. No lie...it happened.

I can do gore all day every day.
but don't hit me with paranormal shit that yanks you off the bed at night or that throws lampshades across the goddamn living room like it's some sort of fucking domestic disturbance. oh, and i'm a THOUSAND TIMES HAPPY that Texas homes don't have basements. i'm a firm believer that any house with a basement is haunted to no end..... thank you every scary movie ever....... |

I used to watch hellraiser as a kid at night when my parents worked, since then most scary movies are not scary at all to me. Ring one was not bad

I absolutely hated Child's Play when I first watched it at 8 years old. Especially with the killer doll, Chucky. I'm scared of dolls because of that movie. Something about dolls coming alive at night has haunted my mind since the day I first saw it.

Anyone ever see that Rose Red mini series (by Stephen King) in the early 2000s? I found that series to be pretty scary. It's like three 2 hour movies (6 hours total).
