That guy is all talk. The Viper could barely keep up with a aging C6 ZR1, and they had to make a limited run T/A just to edge it out on Laguna Seca. With the new Z06, he is officially out of excuses. He needs to really work out the kinks on the Viper because the Stingray is already pulling 1.00g+ on 285 section rear tires. Great chassis GM has.

I bet it will be faster than ZR1. GM says the C7 Z06 will be "the most track-capable Corvette ever,". Apparently it was co-developed with the new C7.R race car too.
The ZR1 did the Nurburgring in 7:19. I'm guessing the Z06 will be closer to 7:10 |

The C6 Z06 was also co-developed with the C6.R. So that fact isn't anything new.

Wasn't suggesting it was new. The C7.R is more advanced than the C6.R, so that's a good thing for the C7 Z06. My main point was GM claiming it's the most track capable corvette so far, so therefore it'll be faster than the ZR1.

I love Porsche, and I have owned a couple. For the first time in my life, I am in danger of buying a corvette...I will wait for the mustang gt whateverthefuck....but this will be a better car.
I was just reading a magazine, the Cayman S as tested price was over $80k, I think it is a beautiful car, and I know there is something intangible going on, but the corvette, particularly the Z?? will be hard to ignore. |
