I'm pretty sure Pettis will be the WEC LW champ for life, since he can never defend a tittle that technically doesnt exist any more

but you are right, if Clay wins, there is no longer a unification match but its fair to assume, Clay would get the next tittle shot

Shit, I remember "back in the day" when there was a ufc event only once a year, maybe twice. Now, it's like 1x a month, sometimes 2. Crazy

i dont see why he wouldnt be, he's won his last 3 fights and the 2 previous losses were against tough opponents, w/ one of those being fight of the year. He is def making a run at the tittle

plus, w/ their styles, its gonna be like fighting a gorilla in a phone booth

I honestly thought Pat Barry could have given off a few more low kicks in the first 2 rounds. He still needs work on his overall takedown defense and clinch work. Glad he won tho. Melvin is vicious. I really expect to see him as the number 1 contender for the title with another victory.

yea Barry could be a lil more aggressive seeing the kind of power he has.

Melvin looked as good as ever, he is def in the top 5 in an incredibly tough division. Would love to see him fight Ben Henderson or Kenny Florian.

Meat head keeps looking better and better, I thought this was gonna be one of his toughest opponents but he walked right thru him. They are def doing something right at Duke Roufus, they got 3 up and coming fighters, one might be champ by the end of the year

As someone with past experience, I was surprised he didn't take the leg out in the 2nd. It was on a silver platter and prime for the taking. Oh well, he still got the win. I'll admit that I was holding my breath since it could've gone either way IMO.

Ya I was surprised Meat did so well in that fight. Surprised me quite a bit.

I was actually holding my breath as well during the first 2 rounds.I knew Barry got the 3rd round no problem but the first 2 rounds were definitely close.
