Nice! I just picked up a bottle of EC Toasted barrel for retail ($52). Lucked out. I've had EC 18 and it's not close to that, but unique in its own right. Diff than other toasted barrels I've had

I see a noticeable abscence of RUM from your stash. That and Cognac are my specialties.

Plantation XO 20
Ron Centenario
Orígenes Reserva Especial18
Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva
El Dorado 12 or 15
Zaya
El Pasador de Oro
1888

Are all in my current stash. They are all good to exquisite!

Love clase azul repo... many moan and complain that they use a flavor adder to artificially sweeten it up a little but I think its fantastic.

Don Julio 1942, Codigo 1530 Anejo, Fortaleza Anejo are all up there right along with it.

Yes...A tempering sip at first...very small...hold it and let it mellow.

Give a minute or three.

Then take a normal sip.

The high proof really expands the flavor profile.

Too many people take a big normal first sip and just blow it all out and then trash talk it.

Big fan of high proof here....

If you can grab most of those, you're going to have an exceptional stash.
For Vodka I recommend ZYR or Chopin.
Cognac: Tesseron, Hardy, Remy Martin Pierre Ferrand.

I'm not a Bourbon guy but I must say that this is some fine Bourbon 47% (94 proof) here in Australia.

I usually enjoy bourbon with 1 or 2 very small cubes, but the Barrel Proof gets a huge ice ball.

So it is really a bourbon starter kit for you...."MAKES 1.5 L " on every 750 ml bottle..

I guess it is cheaper if you think of it that way.

The 94 proof that is posted above is the normal ~$30 bottle. A store pick will usually be better and a similar price (maybe $35) while the barrel proofs that were posted run closer to $60 and are in a whole different league.
