Cold doesn't bother me. I've arrived in MSP wearing shorts and a t in -13 weather, and thought "it's chilly".

the fun has started, few minor things i need to take care before we move in.
With the high volume of home purchases in LI, there is a waiting period of 2 weeks to get any kind of work. Everyone is booked.

im with you, i cant wait til this year ends.

moving is very stressful, hopefully soon your new home will feel like home.
Delays on everything! The appliances in the house are fairly new but I wanted to change them out. The refrigerator was one of those counter depth ones. WTF - there is literally no depth to it. I went to order the Kitchen Aid one I had in my other house. There was a production halt on them. They wouldn't even accept orders for backorder. I ordered a GE that looked almost identical to the Kitchen Aid. 8 weeks later it gets delivered. I'm not happy with the quality. Once they start production of the Kitchen Aid, I'll order it and put the GE in the basement. Dishwasher isn't available, oven isn't available. It never occurred to me. I would have taken the appliances from the other house. 10-12 weeks for window treatments. So I'll be living with paper shades and windows covered with plastic for a while.

I'm glad I didn't have to buy furniture.

EDIT - I did order a dinette set for the kitchen and a chandelier for the dining room. 12 weeks

I used to be addicted (I use that loosely) to Strip clubs back in the day but have never had a lap dance or been in the champagne room.

my wife, I and coworkers would go every week for Friday Happy Hour and have a Fucking blast. I did pay for a shot girl to go to the Bahamas with me (Pre marriage) and a few friends and I didnt even get to touch tiddies

we got lucky with appliances. they are all new since the house was redone completely. we do need to order bedroom set but havent picked out one, so looks like air mattress will do I cant complain, all the major things that cost $$$ are done. In the future i would like to replace cedar fence with white pvc fence, pavers for front and rear of house.

It never ends. I want to get the inside done and live in the house for a while. Sitting on the fence about putting in a pool, or just doing pavers. My property isn't as big as the house I just sold which had a great backyard for the area. Springtime I will redo the landscaping.

I'd much rather breathe in the fumes of burning things. I need to feel the reflection of the flames in my pupils whilst I writhe my hands.

Hitting things with a hammer is much more satisfying. The size of the hammer depends on the severity of the issue.

I used to keep an 80 lb punching bag around for this exact thing. Helped a lot when going through the first divorce.

I keep a wood maul and some nice logs handy. You can split quite a bit of firewood when you're angry. Turning that anger into productive energy.

He said the Loaner cars became leased cars then CPO cars and they make hella bank with them. I remember when I was going to the GYM before covid in my home city, dudes i was class mates with saying they are leasing a 5 and 7 series. Is that Wise? LOLOLOL isnt buying a used E90 better.? Why do I think getting a integra or E90 is better than leasing a new luxury car for a young man.
There are two kinds of leasing:

1. Those who lease because they would rather "rent" a car and pay every month for it instead of all the maintenance/things that could go wrong with it

2. Those who want to look like they own a car they can't afford

It's usually pretty obvious which category someone falls into.
Aren't the vast majority of recent model year 5 and 7 series leases? It's been a while but I recall some horribly large percentile several years ago.

No, not yet. I'm holding off getting estimates until I know what I want to do. I'm sure my taxes will go up if I do anything. I think mine are just about $10K now. How bad are you getting hammered on the LI?

Have you ever had a pool? They can be a huge PIA, especially in climates where you have several months where you can't use it. They don't add any value to the house, because most people don't want one. Most insurance companies will jack up your premiums. You'll have to put a fence up, if there isn't already one, to meet code in most locales. I'd have one if I lived in the Southwest, like all the nice houses out there do, but never again in Minnesota. My cousin had one and it was great for the kids when they were little, but as soon as the last one graduated high school they filled it in.

Thats a lie straight from hell to doom all marriages. Both require happiness and one should not be contingent upon the other. Equal parts period.

Base not your joy upon the deeds of others.

This coming from the guy who wants to lay waste to everything in sight because of the actions of a female; so I'm not sure I'd even take my own advice at the moment.

I will say that even under the circumstances of both of my failed marriages; I was a happier person when I was married.
