And they don't grow back. Started looking it up and they said it'll likely just get picked up by a bird and die.

I'm in Sydney at the moment. Bowser is at the home in rosarito with his grandma.

Don't do it.
I use to catch dragon flies when I was little. They are capable of living without any problem with that minor damage to the wing. Let it just go and fly. They will manage to fly and compensate.

When I was 2nd grade, I once caught about 25 dragon flies. Then I accidrntly dropped the collection cage from 5th floor showing off to my friend from top of the building. I felt real bad.
