Zero ammunition at Academy last night.

Always pick up a box or two when I make it over that way. Shelves wiped clean.

Damn, we expecting an apocalypse or something?

It's been like this since the beginning of the pandemic. So bad for certain calibers I started making my own ammo.

I lucked out and was able to purchase two more pistols during the pandemic and a good amount of self defense rounds.

I went to Academy to look at exercise bikes, decide to swing by and look at the firearms...nothing. I was a little disappointed.

The little mom and pop firearms dealer by my mom's house know me well and will message me on Facebook when they get something cute in they think I'll like, like my robin's egg blue Glock I purchased last year. That's about it though.

Also known as eggshell blue, more easily seen than the gunmetal or black colours.
I'm guessing its a G17, do you carry the G with you sometimes when you're out and about..

Can't see it in my purse or my vehicle LOL

No, the blue one is a 43X. My other ones are boring black. I don't leave the house without at least one widow maker. I fly with them, too.

It's fair to say you're well protected and I think the law asks that weapons must be hidden from view. I gather when you fly you mean on private planes you carry and not airliners, not sure how that works on American airlines.

No shortage of .22 ammunition across the pond?

You can open carry in Louisiana. Also, nope, not private airlines. I fly commercial with firearms. Flew United Airlines most recently with my blue Glock. Just have to follow their rules. Has to be in a checked case with a lock and the passenger must carry the key. Very simple.

Interesting, do they care if you're going to a state where your permit is invalid?

You’re responsible to obey the state where you're traveling to laws. Airlines aren’t responsible for anything but getting your firearm to your destination safely. The rest is on you to look up and to know.

Lots of people have second homes and what not. So even if not to conceal carry, they could just be transporting their firearms from one home to another via airlines. Completely legal.

Cool thread. I didn’t even know this topic could be discussed on this forum. Shows I still don’t know how to navigate around properly yet.

Can you get three fingers on the grip of the G26?

Yes. I have an extended magazine (15 rounds) and a pinky grip. It’s the most comfortable gun to hold for my grip. I’m most accurate with this one.

So, actually, no, you can't get three fingers on the grip. You need/want a pinky rest or grip extension to make it work.

If you are going to make your gun bigger so that you can hold it properly, maybe you should find a bigger gun to start with.
