He's got decades of experience on you. Understand that no matter how many years you log heel/toe'ing, his experience just goes up as well, until he stops driving lol.

Don't worry about catching up to your old man's skill level. Focus on your technic, focus on smoothness, focus on form et all. You think your dad didn't have unsmooth era? Experience and time. You'll get there. Just stop worrying so much about not being as good as your dad, you just end up psyching yourself out.

😭😭 Dayum I dont know it feels to have only one parent. Had some freinds raised by one parent. They seemed fine! But who knows whats up mentally. I know chicks that didnt have a dad are quite weirder than the ones that have one.

This is a blanket statement that isn't applicable as a blanket statement.

All because somebody was raised by a single parent or no parents or both parents doesn't guarantee they will turn out a certain way.

Ted Kaczynski had loving immigrant family. So did Bundy. So did Hitler. While they were alive but still. Steve Jobs had no parents. It's a dangerous to make assumptions like that. Sedan is one of the most respected members of the forum and he's in law enforcement, with only one parent. Using your mindset we're all fucked and he's coming after all of us.

But seriously, you're going to miss out on life quite a bit if you navigate with that type of mindset.

I hope so. Louisiana unfortunately has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country at around 1/3 of the population. It seems most Southern states are similar. Georgia isn't much better.

Interestingly enough, we have quite a few friends vaccinated who are sick right now. I'm doing the best out of us all so far. Let's just table the shot discussion as it gets out of hand and not here to chat about that. Don't want the mods on my ass:-)

Damn hope you feel better. I know there were a few locations near me doing drive through testing back when I had it in January 2021. I ended up going to a hospital a few towns over that had their parking lot set up for it, got my results 2 days later online.

Normal. Vaccines just minimize the likelihood of you ending up on ventilator or icu. You can still shed viral load even vaccinated, it's just so your immune system knows wtf it is and isn't caught off guard.

Good luck! I had it twice last year (short/long story) and was thankfully really mild. Losing taste/smell is one of the strangest things i've experienced but otherwise pretty alright.
