Too bad it's $185k list price and unless you already bought a 918 (or best customer at your Porsche dealer), expect to pay $300-400k for one. What Porsche needs to do is take a C4S body, drop the pre-turbo C2S drivetrain in it, and strip it down with a manual (no A/C, no radio, less insulation, and no air bags). Sell it for $120k and make 5,000+ units, then they should profit even more than a fully loaded C2S.

My Porsche salesman told me they are basically reserved for 918 Spyder owners, if any 918 owners decide not to take one, then the opportunity goes to their top priority customers. I am just glad that manual transmission sees a chance of coming back. As they said, next generation GT3 will have manual transmission option. I hope that is true.
