Loving it so far.

As a commuter autopilot makes sitting in traffic a breeze.

When there is no traffic, the handling and power delivery makes this so much fun to drive.

Only regret is not waiting until the performance version is out since that just got announced for deliveries starting in July.

That would have added $26,500 to the cost of your car. Too much IMHO.

However, at $5K, the AWD option would have been nice. It cuts over half a second off the 0-60 time, and should make the Model 3 more equipped to hold its own in a comparison against the likes of the Mercedes-AMG C43 sedan, Audi S4, or the upcoming BMW M340i.

I agree, the performance gain from awd is easily worth that option.

However the performance version needs more than a 3.5 sec 0-60 to be worth it.

It still makes due with the same suspension and no word on if it has an LSD or if the traction control can mimic a virtual LSD.

That being said the performance of the long range is still pretty exhilarating.

One thing that has me irked is that the CF spoiler can only be obtained if you have the performance model. And there's no other vendors making a similar replica.

If I can get a similar CF spoiler + proper coilovers id be happy.

Regular TM3 advertised as 5s+, but people easily run these with 4.6s
I wouldn't be surprised if TM3P is able to do 3.1-3.2s

It doesn't need all the power to do 0-60 this quickly
FYI, Model S is power limited first 0-30, before it unleashes 100% of its juice
For lighter TM3P, it could be easily achieved

Yes, SR is advertised 5.6s, LR is advertised 5.1s.

I wouldn't be surprised if TM3P is able to do 3.1-3.2s

Me neither. But that means the non-P D model will be a 4.0s car too. For just $5k more than the non-D and over $20k less than the P, that's where the value lies. P might not yet have a ludicrous mode, but it sure does have a ludicrous price.

Exactly, I agree with that. What source is used to generate the electricity? The end user doesn't think about this as much.

Also in mobile source pollutants (in the US) VOc"s, CO and NOx are eliminated by ev's but PM 2.5 is still a problem on all vehicles 12 months of the year. Where as ozone pollutants (mobile source pollutants listed above) are based in the summer months (high temp. months) only (location dependant of course).

And mobile source emissions (vehicles) are just a small fraction of pollutant issues. You guys should see how much pollution comes from grass mowers, weed eaters and other small displacement engines. These far exceed automobile pollutants.

There are models for everything showing how EPA tries to regulate pollutants, its just vehicles are only the topic of conversation because thats where all the manufacturers and businesses make all the money.

Gas just pops out of the ground from flower petals in really friendly countries. Full life cycle, EV's are cleaner, even running on coal. Think about that.
