I can't wait to hear this one. With all that earth in the back seat, and the rims packed with mud... hmmmm. It is gonna be a good story.

Opps... I got ahead of myself. I see that they have shared all the details. All in all, thank goodness your son made it out so safely. I have two sons that are driving age now... and it makes me so nervous everytime they leave the driveway. We, as parents, worry all they time about the safety of our children on the roads.

Nice cars. The 540 - 6 speed is fun, fun. Sorry about the loss. Your new M3 is rad!
Glad noone got hurt, that's all that matters.....I've been in 5 cars that have been totaled on public roads in my lifetime. Only one my fault, when I was 17 and not paying full attention. |

Nah, sorta hard to do when you're just thrilled he's alive! Besides, I don't think I could have punished him as much as he punished himself - he loved that car and now he'll be driving a beater :-)

Thanks! I love my new ride! Moments after the accident there was an M5, M3, X5 4.4 and of course the 540i at the scene - some serious BMW iron. When the cop showed up (later - appearently BMWs are significantly faster than Crown Vics! ) I'm explaining to her that my kid is really a good kid, and usually never drives unsafely (which is really true). She just scans all the iron at the scene and does one of those "yeah, right" glares and walks away LOL!

OP, do you have a video camera? If so, using a toy car can you recreate the incident to show what path the car took. also, if you could greate a to-scale back drop, that would be great also.
glad to hear your son is safe. regards, jdink
