Beers such as IPA's and pale ales have distinct tastes and have gained much popularity over the recent years. It's not a fad, cover up or crutch. Hey, if you like Coors light all the power to you--but more complexity is readily available.

The same goes with wine, food and spirits as all had a time in the past where basic flavors and layers of complexity were non-existent, but now palates are overwhelmingly being accustomed to much more advanced flavor profiles and depth. If you do not appreciate this, I am sorry.

Look, I’m not trying to hate on all the Miller Lite lovers out there. If that’s what you love, then by all means.

The guy that worked in IT three years ago that now started a "craft brewery" or the Belgian monks that have been doing it for hundreds and hundreds of years?

And don't get me started on IPAs. They have been absolutely crippled by all this garbage hoppiness that makes them undrinkable.
I agree with a lot of what you are saying here. It's the over hopification and it's overwhelming. I do think it's a crutch and a lot of them are shite. My favorites are Stella and Chimay. That being said, most of my friends drink craft beers and I've come to appreciate a few of them. I wouldn't write them all off.

Like I said, if you love Bud Light, more power to you. To each their own. Personally, I enjoy bourbons and whisky. Used to drink an IPA until this terrible over hopping trend took place.

And I said I'm on board with whiskey and bourbon but wont touch a light beer. IPA once in a while stout or amber.

Interesting. I need to get my hands on some.
I only had Heady once and it wasn't fresh, thought it was ok but not amazing.

Was at a pool party yesterday. Host handed me an IPA. Drank about half, the dumped it out and drank Indian whiskey for the remainder of the evening.

Definitely some hipster traits, but the no coffee thing throws it off. Let me ask you this: do you have, or have you ever had, a man-bun?
