- Peeps: "Hi Peeps, I just wanted to say hi." Peeps are a horrible holiday treat and that's that.

And bonus- When people are trying to sound smart while talking and say "right" after each sentence as a segue to their next boring sentence.

When an area is doing poorly, it desperately needs leadership.
A crisis requires leadership.

This word gets broadly applied in a vague manner to so many things, it has no real meaning any more.

The US sends a lot of obnoxious cultural things to the UK, but, this is one where they got us back. It's even a bit of a malapropism when used in most cases since mass is weight.

These, and all the related corporate doublespeak ('drill down', 'close the loop', 'granular level', etc.). Especially people who say things like 'I really like what Bob said' and then go off on a tangent that is the exact opposite or a cutdown.

A close second are all the pencil pushing bureaucrats who try to use 'tough-guy combat talk' like 'send it' 'the sitrep meeting' 'are we status alpha or bravo?' 'boots on the ground' 'do some recon' etc.

It's used for every god damned start-up that does things differently to traditional business, and everyone is disrupting every business.

I swear if I read one more article on a disruptive company I'll disrupt the writers lifeline!
