I say go for Civic Si

I like the design of Civic Si better than the fit.
I would but a Civic Si won't fit dogs in the back, I need either a large 4 door or a wagon/hatch.

How is an element even an option? It's an suv. I hate suvs. It's a big ugly box like 4 feet off the ground. I need something that handles decent and is cute.

They are comming out with a sedan Si. Might be worth a try. I say show up to the dealership with your dog crates and try to make em fit!

Yeah I saw that, don't know when it's hapenning but it's cool. I'd just rather pay $5k less and have a car that's more practical and with $4k will be incredibly fast.

Dont you own small dogs? why not something like a civic?

Personally Im not a fan of the style because it looks like an american version of a civic - obese.

I'm in the market for a FIT(Black AT Sport)...........

Went to Diamond Bar Honda yesterday...........and I was SHOCKED at the price!

2k mark-up.......and few added accesories --- aero kit and rims.......

Total Price: almost $24,000

Same thing I've found. Apparently they're in such high demand and sell before really hitting the lot, that the dealer's gouging on the price.

You could a new 2006 accord for dirt cheap I would imagine. Last I heard, Accord EXs with everything (navi, leather, etc) were going for around $24k OTD. I think this is because Honda is just getting absolutely destroyed by the Camry, and plus the current body style isn't all that popular. So I imagine you could get an LX with no leather and no navi for probably 18-20k, along with great interest rates. If I was to get a beater car, I'd get an Accord or Camry, non V6.

This way, you have a lot more room and I'd think you'd get "better" bang for your buck, although a sub compact would probably be the "best" bang for your buck. That is, however, entirely dependent on you view your "buck".

I think it's funny how some of you can just sit here and snub the Honda Fit because it's a Honda and it's inexpensive. Let me tell you, my Integra GS-R was so ridiculously fun to drive, and it may not be as fast as my e90 or handle as well, or be as comfortable, but that thing was a blast to drive and I regret getting rid of it every day. Unfortunately my 6'4" boyfriend couldn't fit in it very well.

It's so weird the variety of opinions you get on the internet. On Honda forums everyone is talking about how great the Fit is except for a few who don't like the design, but on a BMW board some people tell me to get a 10 year old 3 series for a reliable beater car to cart my dogs around in, lol.
I agree 100%. I had a 6 speed 2000 celica GT-S before the e90. That was a blast to drive. Espically after full suspension, flywheel, intake and exhaust. It was quick too. I ran a 14.48 at englishtown with it with street tires. I also liked the GS-R a lot but went with the celica because it was newer. The fit is a great car and if I were you I would buy one. If I nedded a cheap small car I would not even consider anything else.

Get rid of the boyfriend, not the teg!

I think it would be cheaper to cart the dogs in your BMW and let them take it out on your interior rather than by another car, having an extra insurance and car payment.

Lol this thread is very old maybe some of you have noticed. I'm over the Fit for now. I was thinking about getting it to replace my boyfriend's current car at the time but he got his MR-2 and will never part with the thing lol.

i just put a $200 refundable deposit today for the first available Black/White Fit AT Sport.....

the dealer wanted $1,995 over MSRP(i guess that's the norm?).......

but in the end.....we both agreed that MSRP was the best deal or no deal.

any suggestions for a nice set of rims?

I once saw a pretty sharp looking Fit with some Work Equip 03. 15" Gold on white.

I dont know why people care so much for an image of the car, i would be fine driving a Fit all around town chillling with the windows down its a cool car...dont know about you guys, but its not the car that makes the image, its the driver...i was asking my parent to get that car for just how practical it is, i could take it when i go surfing or carrying my dog, or just packing some friends coming back from the beach all dirty... thats an awesome car...in manual itll be fun to drive too!
