To the collectors out there, if you are interested in rare, autographed bottles of Jack Daniels, PM me. My father was best friends with Jimmy Bedford and he got to know Jeff Arnett and Frank Bobo very well. We were/are Tennessee Squires. I have White Rabbit Saloon bottles (w/serial numbers), a bottle of 1904 Gold Medal Ribbon, a bottle of Frank Sinatra Select with the leather case, a bottle of 1984 Gold Medal Ribbon in a case, 70th and 75th Anniversary bottles in a case, Sturgis bottle set (all 3 bottles), the first three years of Holiday Select, and a ton of other small stuff that isn't available to the public. All bottles are signed by master distillers, some are signed by multiple master distillers. I also have barrel number 69 (each barrel was laser etched with it's perspective number) of the TV advert original barrel tree. It's also signed by Bobo, Arnett and Jimmy Bedfords Widow Emily.

My god I would kill for any of that, but I’m sure my wife would kill ME for paying the prices they deserve. Why not just keep them as historical conversation pieces?

I deal with this anytime someone is interested in buying a bottle. They fail to realize the value in a bottle of whiskey from 1904 that is unopened and signed by a master distiller that has passed. Hell the Sinatra Select is $450/bottle over the counter to the general public, the signature adds value not to mention the leather case, booklet and wall art that comes with it. I have bottles valued at thousands. The barrel in my kitchen is one of only two like it. The other barrels that were used in the inaugural distilling of Holiday Select and the barrel tree were not signed by the distillers. I have one and my sister has the other. Frank Bobo was brought out of retirement to oversee the new Master Distiller Jeff Arnett (who resigned from his position in September of this year - which means dollar signs to me) who replaced Jimmy Bedford after he passed in 2008, to craft Holiday Select.

I used to give signed bottles to friends and colleagues for Christmas gifts back before dad and Jimmy had both passed away. Some of those gifts are worth a chunk these days.

As for keeping them for historical significance, not to sound like an ingrate, but it's just not something that I'm in to collecting or staying on top of. It was dads thing and I have all the significant "Dad Relics" that mean something to me. The bottles just don't have any value or meaning to me, but with what I have and what they are worth, they are simply collecting dust at my house. A collector would truly appreciate them as to where I just don't. Just money laying on the table in my eyes. I'd rather have the money in the bank than the bottles collecting dust in a closet.

I did sell my tokens the week of Thanksgiving. During prohibition, a person couldn't buy a shot of whiskey at the distillery, but you could by a token to be used anywhere at the distillery, even for a shot since you are not trading actual money. I had several of these that I sold to a collector from MI.

Now that is what you call quality over quantity! Some amazing bottles up there. The OF Birthday Bourbon is delicious as are those Michters 10y offerings. I haven't had the ETL 100y (I think that is the silver top) but not really impressed with the normal ETL myself.

Not sure why you have Kentucky Owl hanging out with all of those other gems

Ha thanks! I wasn't overly impressed with regular ETL either, but I hear the ETL 100 is good. I'm trying to find a place to buy a pour to try it before opening mine so I can decide if I want to drink or flip.

At least the Kentucky Owl is batch 1! And I know that Jack Daniels in the top right looks out of place, but it's actually Pappy 15 inside. I did a bottle share with a buddy, but that's the only empty bottle I had on hand at the time.

I have had some amazing Store pick barrel proof JD so I was assuming it was that (same with the 1792 FP). What pact is the Blood Oath? I think Pact 5 was my favorite so far, and I was not really a fan of Pact 6 this year.

The Blood Oath is Pact 4. I had a Pact 5 as well, but already drank it. I haven't tried the Pact 6. I had heard it wasn't as good as the previous ones.

So far I've been striking out in all the annual raffles in my area.

I do really like that derringer but I prefer either the 1910 or 1920 for OF. Not a huge fan of the others.

Do you smoke in there? If so, did you go with proper ventilation, or just not worried about the rest of the house smelling like smoke?

I'd really like a cigar room...but as much as I like cigars, I don't like my house smelling like them (and my wife would literally kill me).
