True. With manufacturer incentives being a thing of the past, there would be significant increase in per unit profit for BMW with these MSRP increases and removing all customer incentives.

Like prices were great deals before the increase. It's all arbitrary and artificial.

This seems more about demand tbh. The M card saw their highest sales in the last 2-3 years thanks to YouTubers and social media. It only makes sense to capitalize. Hopefully with high interest rates and high gas prices demand wanes a bit so there can be discounts.

A destination fee to my knowledge is typically the freight fee or transportation fee, that the manufacturer charges the customer to deliver the vehicle from the factory to the dealership. But ya for PCD that is a valid point on those models.

Unfortunately what happens during these high inflation periods is the prices never come back down or at least don't come back too much to where they were prior. It does suck especially knowing why it happened.

Geez…M5 getting the highest increase!
Glad I got mine last year - I wouldn't be surprised if additional price increases materialize.

Yeah let's not forget all Incentives are gone
So a $77,000 M3 in 2019-2020 was actually like $70,000 Now it's $82,000 no discounts So that's 12,000 increase to actual customer paid price or 17% |
