Removing buttons for things like traffic announcements was a good idea.

The spinning burnout was a little bit much, but, 1,000hp, I’m in.

THAT my friends is an AWD donut… that is insane!! Now there’s nothing like the sounds of a combustion engine, I love my v8 with down pipes. But hear me out quick…

The power and speed these electric vehicles are going to be putting down is going to make us speed demons wanting to get our hands on one of these things cuz that car looks like fun!

Quad motor is the future of awd vehicles.

Just ask Rivian and Rimac, only two brands currently selling quad motor vehicles.

But they already make an EV that’s incredible, you just have to be comfortable with it being a 6000lb rolling egg.
The I4 M50 comes pretty comes and has a lower profile and despite weighing over 5000 lbs, handles pretty good. This is prob one step further with 4 motors instead of 2. The chassis looks very similar to the I4

As someone that dislikes the current 4er (front grill and non holfmeister kink) and not the biggest fan of the m3/4 front, why do i find this thing so damn sexy???

The best part of these pictures is the fact that the car is being pulled by a 1st gen X5. That is more impressive than an all electric M car :

I’m going to call it. This body shape has fixed the rear 3/4 issue of the M4. Looks good BMW, been a while since I’ve thought that about a new M car.

On the bright side the rear 3/4 is nice finally. Rear end still looks like a Lexus and the horrid front end just gets worse with time.

I'm sure it's fast though.

Pretty neat when they showed the car spinning/burning out in that manner—like an RC toy car. Controlling each wheels individually, including rotation direction. Literally spinning on a dime. Spinning 180º at a press of a button.

I'm going to guess that clip was more digital that real. Just saying. Would love to be wrong just as much as I would love to think that Formula E sound is real too.

EVs are coming. I'm excited. I just ain't buying one quite yet.

Well it depends where you live and drive to. I live in SoCal, and have been driving EV only now for 10 years straight. Plenty of 600-900 mile weekend trips to Vegas, SF, Bay Area, in a 116 mi range i3, and never once got stuck. Secondly, 12000 mi/yr is on average only 33 mi per day. Most of us don't drive over 200 miles per day on 95% of our days. So most never have to charge other than the 15 seconds it takes to plug and unplug it at home. It it were so bad as you say, people wouldn't be buying them and preaching to their friends buy them. On the other hand, I have had my i4 M50 for a month and a half and have 2600 miles on it and never charge at home because I have been using the 2yrs free EA charging with no problems. Again, plenty of reviewers/owners that keep buying EV after EV because they are excited about owning them, not because it is torture, LOL.

Technical, twin rear motors still need mechanical lock to drift properly. Otherwise we still torque vectoring and limited to one motor power to the wheel, instead of x2 with lock. Sames goes to Rivian or any other offload focused car.
I can see good setup as 4 motors with cross axil diff lock 😁
BTW, like EVs. Driven IX M60 for a day 👍
Just cabin fir out not for me.
