They’re only making 50 or 100 of these at $500k+.

Or will it end up being a production car?

Surprised it’s not electric. Rather see a second generation of the i8 with the ///M V8 hybrid.

Not a fan.

This is a heavy weight GT car while BMW was all about vehicle dynamics and crispness and being dexterous. Maybe they try to absorb the RR brand since this car more looks like some kind of RR phantom drophead evolution to me?

The M8 on which it's build is more desirable to me.

I like the interior compared to the more recent tablet with wheels approach.

The 8-series is hideous and HUGE

The previous 6-series on the other hand was BEAUTIFUL!!!

Everyone has their preference, but the 8 is definitely not hideous; if anything the 6 and 8 share a lot of similar features. Surprised you don’t like it

I really hope this is a sign of designs to come.

Looks great. Good to see a V8 instead of the endless EV’s few want.

The 8 is sleek and gorgeous. The 6 was a clunky design. Interior of the 8 is nicer, too.

If Domagoj Dukec allows this to come to fruition, my faith in humanity will be restored. Or perhaps he'll slap some beaver teeth on it and tell us that's what we want?

Lot's of form over function elements, of course (leather floors? really?), but that's typical of a concept car. It's a terrifically modern design that shows some honor to tradition.

Dimensions? It's big, it's heavy, and it's very, very fast. It's a convertible muscle car for an old man. As a 56 year old that sees this as a negative, I STILL want it. Life is complicated.

Life isn’t that complicated. Only complication here is getting your hands on 1/50 for $550k.

I don't see any of the BMW virtues in it, not visually and even when the M8 was already critiqued in this way, this seems way worse. It just leans more to Bentley/RR GT coupé style to me.

Strikes me as rather boring. Nothing anyone hasn't seen in some form or another... and it does all of it with mediocrity.

It's fine...but could easily have been a concept car from 2012. Nothing memorable or noteworthy about it.

If this is a concept, then why are they using the ugly old style – I drive7 with the outdated steering wheel.

So this is a concept car… a look at what BMW could do in the future. Yet the console switchgear, gauge cluster and steering wheel controls are all several model years old in a new color? Ok by me if they bring back more traditional controls. The new idrive 8.x is a disaster…not driver focused at all.
