Didn't want to risk messing with xDrive so tried to keep the tire specs as close to standard (21") BMW specs as possible. You have to set the tire settings in iDrive after making changes. I just entered that I had the 21" OEM tires and that worked even though they're slightly less wide than what I put on.

Thanks for the clarification, I am waiting for an M50 and I was planning to mount PIRELLI PZERO WINTER 285/35 R21 105H XL  (*)  FR  3PMSF and 255/40/21, but you have discovered these Michelin all season tires and I am full of doubts.

What is to doubt about the Michelin? Check out tyre reviews on YouTube. The Michelin is the best performing all around tire even has decent snow traction.

Well, first of all, I don't like to mount tyres wider than the already wide original 21” ones; secondly, I don't like to lose the * of the tyres approved by BMW; and finally, I think that winter tyres will always be better for winter and summer tyres for the rest of the year, even though these Michelin all-season tyres make them very good in global terms.

“Wider” huh. We are talking 10milimeters wider 255 to 265 and 285 to 295 this is laughable. You need all your tires approved by BMW with their star ⭐️ of approval? I’m capable of independent thought and research and not controlled by the matrix.

Not sure if any more data points are helpful. But for what it's worth, I picked up my G45 M50 today and got Pirelli P Zero all seasons with my 20" 906M rims.

It seems that the Michelin Pilor Sport All Season are not for me; after much research, these tyres do not replace winter tyres in Spain and Europe when the use of chains is mandatory; the M+S symbol is not sufficient and the 3PMSF is necessary, which these tyres do not have.

I don't know for Spain, but in Germany BMW does not deliver All Sesons on the cars. It's only dedicated Summer tires and you have to order seperate Winter tires.

Dealer just got the car in as I was there to evaluate my trade in. Was able to go see it, but of course it didn't go through prep yet. I have the 21 inch jet black matte wheels and to my surprise it was wearing Pirelli P Zero's..I think everyone one else with 21s got the Goodyear F1s. I doubt it will make much of a difference, but thought I share as an additional data point.

And yes, she is real purty in Tanzanite
